Bogosian has been chasing the play a lot lately instead of being in position...
Doesn't make sense to me because he's such a good skater not just up and down but laterally as well.
Even the cross stream pass, although it was Hainsey's man, Bogosian wasn't properly positioned which allowed Jokinen to move into where Hainsey couldn't stop him...
I don't get it.

Well you guys got me........I never knew Enstrom was drafted so late.

You guys are going to cry for days when Chevy pulls the pin on the Buff/blue line experiment.

Can someone find the stats for opposition goals caused directly by Buff's pinching, his lazy legs or lack of effort along the boards. I'd love to know that stat!!!!!

Th overall intensity level has been lacking the past 10 games, some of the Jets don't look like they even give a crap.

Exactly. We have 4 forwards who can consistently score points and then we rip at the D for not generating more offense

Chillax man. The Jets are putting up effort, it's not like they aren't skating and not trying. Their play has gotten a lot sloppier and honestly I think it's due to fatigue. The condensed schedule and the many back to backs are taking a toll on the Jets. They should have a 4 day break coming up soon which will help recharge them, hopefully.

Every single team has the same schedule, though.

Lots of players cleared waivers this year
Whats your point?

I am not saying he is great.
But to say he is useless is a pretty ignorant

I don't get it.
It's definitely starting to get noticed by more people that Zach is not the guy he was last year defensively. And unfortunately offensively not much has changed which was my biggest fear when trying to preach defense to him.

Don't get me wrong he's definitely come a ways from where he was defensively his final season in Atlanta, but he was so highly touted because of his ability to take the puck 200 feet and be a consistent offensive threat and now that has gone to ****.

This is an ignorant post. It's not an experiment for one thing. And Buff put up back-2-back 53 point seasons on the blueline. And last year he did it in only 66 games. You don't do that by being an experiment. His D isn't very good but with Buff you take the bad with the good. His D has improved since his first season with Atlanta so there's clearly room to "grow" his game. And that's scary considering what he's capable of.

And what's with the "!!!!!" huh?!!!!!!!!!

What the Jets the only team playing a condensed schedule? Their being out hustled tonight, did you watch the Canes PK. Our PP looked like slow motion.

The rest of the NHL has figured out how to play against the Jets and it's not hard to do. Play aggressive.

Strong forecheck, high pressure type defense and the Jets are lost.

This is true but right now the jets are at the tail end of the heart of it. After the philly game they get some needed time off and extra time at the end of the season. As an example. The canes are just now hitting a hard spot in the schedule. They play alot of games to the end.

Yeah and we are in third place. What more can you ask of them? Carolina just had a four day break and has 3 games in hand. They are playing desperate and should be since they have lost 4 in a row with the playoff hopes dashed away if they lose this game.

And you're gonna feel silly when you see what kind of return he would actually get. FYI, it would be a lot. Just so you know.

What if he doesn't and stays on the blue line because TNSE and Chevy love him and he's an All-Star D man who posts elite offensive numbers??? but only mediocre forward numbers....
What then?
Will you shed tears?

It's hypocritical. You call out guys for not producing, but then lift up guys like Burmi and Scheifs..who were also not producing.

Wellwood and Olli are having a bad years, but Wellwood put up 47 pts last year. Jokinen 61. You continually call out Chevy for signing guys who are 'not producing'. Yet if you go by just sheer numbers, these guys were good signings at the beginning of the year. And I'll also ask you who else you think should have been signed in the off-season. If you tell me that you wouldn't have signed Wellwood for $1.6m for 1 year, who just came off of 47 points? I'd call complete ******** and a penalty for 'armchair GMing with 20/20 hindsight'.

So when is 'production' important? Only when it concerns players you don't like, is that it? If you're going to criticize people, try to use consistent metrics.
