It's hypocritical. You call out guys for not producing, but then lift up guys like Burmi and Scheifs..who were also not producing.
Wellwood and Olli are having a bad years, but Wellwood put up 47 pts last year. Jokinen 61. You continually call out Chevy for signing guys who are 'not producing'. Yet if you go by just sheer numbers, these guys were good signings at the beginning of the year. And I'll also ask you who else you think should have been signed in the off-season. If you tell me that you wouldn't have signed Wellwood for $1.6m for 1 year, who just came off of 47 points? I'd call complete ******** and a penalty fo 'armchair GMing with 20/20 hindsight'.
So when is 'production' important? Only when it concerns players you don't like, is that it? If you're going to criticize people, try to use consistent metrics.
Well... Burmistrov is producing more than Miettinen, Jokinen and Wellwood...???
The rest of the NHL has figured out how to play against the Jets and it's not hard to do. Play aggressive.
Strong forecheck, high pressure type defense and the Jets are lost.
Exactly. All you have to do is swarm the puck carrier ... you can be sure that 95% of the time, even if this leaves someone open, the Jet won't be able to get the puck to him. I don't think it's a lack of effort. It's a lack of execution.
Hopefully it's just a phase they're going through.
