lol at ridiculous leaf fans, keep dreaming that your team is the only one in the nhl and that toronto is the centre of the universe.

maybe you should stop watching leafs tv and actually, you know, watch other games too and learn about hockey.

stop looking at the standings and jumping to ridiculous conclusions

you probably couldn't name 4 oiler players

What's the point in coming here if you just want to point out someone's lack of intelligence/maturity while at the same time forcing others to question your intelligence/maturity?

Sure. Throw the LOL out there.

Sure. Throw the Eberle for Gardiner out there.

Just don't be lazy. Actually follow up with something worth reading. Pretend that you actually want people to read what you're writing.

Yes, we love laughing at each other's fans.

Yes, Toronto is in a playoff spot. Can you believe Kessel is actually back checking this year? I honestly think it's a little early, since his contract year isn't until next year... maybe he doesn't realize this. SHHHH

Yes, Kessel has more value than Eberle, but I wouldn't trade Eberle for any single player on the Leafs.

It just baffles your mind, how can a team with 3 first overalls "untouchables" in the past 3 seasons are headed for another top 5 pick while the Leafs with bunch of scraps are competing for a playoff spot

We pick 11th right now so if we assume you are going on recent trends Leafs should win 1 out of their remaining games and miss playoffs right .

That's stretching it.

Ottawa - Who knows
Philly - Win
New Jersey - Lose
Rangers - Who knows
Rangers - Who knows
Montreal - Lose
Jersey - Lose
Washington - Win
Islanders - Who knows
Ottawa - Who knows
Tampa - Win
Florida Win
Montreal - Lose

4 wins, 4 loses and 5 others that could go either way.

Get out of your inferiority complex, Leaf fans don't care for the Oilers. Most of them probably cheered for your team during your cup run. It's disheartening seeing how much of your fanbase has a disdain for the leafs like we are your #1 rivals outside of Alberta.

No thanks. Whole lot of meh coming back to the Leafs. Change the 1st to 2013 and remove Khabibulin, Grabovski, and Belanger and i'd think about it.

To be fair a lot of Leaf fans hate on the Oilers like crazy on this site. Both fanbases don't care for each other, just look at your fellow fans in this thread.

Whoa.. this is just as horrible (if not worse) than the OP; that's saying something asboth are just brutally awful for both teams.

Yikes!!

There are few pieces on the Leafs I want (Gunnarsson, Gardiner, Frattin among the few) but we won't agree on values, so no need in discussing it further.

Oiler and Leafs fans are never able to agree on value, maybe we over value our players a bit on both sides. Gardiner holds interest, Kulemin too because of his size. Not interested in any of the goaltending. Toronto fans will want one of the big 4, we'll say no, yawn

Even going 4-5-4 gives them a 99.2% chance of making the playoffs.

The All-Rookie team last year contained Justin Faulk, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Gabriel Landeskog, Adam Henrique and Jake Gardiner. Value him as you'd value those other players.

This is absolutely horrendous logic.

1) Not all rookies on the rookie team are equal in present value.
2) Not all rookies on the rookie team are the same age or draft year.
3) Not all rookies on the rookie team are at similar stages of their development.

Gardiner doesn't come close to RNH or Landeskog in value.

Maybe not, but he's clearly not some bum to be pawned off for a combination of Whitney, Hemsky, Belanger, picks.

If we offered some combination of Gunnarsson, MacArthur, 2014 picks for Eberle I'm sure you'd find it putrid.

Like 5 posts up leaf fans are asking what would Smid cost but yea not a single player on the 23 man Oiler roster has value. Not a single one. Biggest homer post of this thread so far

Did you see the post I was referring to? It was a leafs fan with a blatently insulting remark, saying none of our players have value. I'm no fan of the leafs but I don't actively have a disdain for them to the point that I feel they are our number 1 rivals in the east.

I appreciate when canadian fan bases can cheer for other canadian teams. If you did so, good on you.

I just think its ignorant, insulting, and annoying when people start blatently downplaying other teams / other teams' players just for the sake of pissing other people off.

It's obvious the guy didn't know the first thing about the oilers. I don't go around bad mouthing Lupul, Kessel, Kadri. They are all fantastic players. If I had more time I would watch more of the leafs and actually watch these players play so I could make even more educated comments on them rather than blast them without any evidence.

I'm sorry if you found my post offensive but it was supposed to be an exaggeration to make a point.
