Good stuff.

Now get the goalie.

Abbott is very talented offensively and has been putting up solid numbers since his increased role. D'Amigo has 16 goals on the year too, while playing mostly on the third and fourth line due to the depth infront of him. The same can be said about McKegg.

I don't think anyone questions the fact that the Marlies are not an offensive powerhouse right now. They've been a powerhouse defensively under Eakins, which is an asset as well to win games.

Any team that loses 5 on their top 6 scorers throughout the year due to callups or injuries will hurt. It goes to show that the Leafs/Marlies have great depth in the organization to still be able to win games despite of that. Even you can admit that.
REALLY want Brad Ross to succeed!

Bloomin' heck! Can you imagine a team with Biggs, Ross, Komarov, Devane & co on it?

That's some serious aggro man!!!

Gonna be a great team next year, just in time to replace the old prospects we got some great new ones.

hoping a few mid-level guys fill out, I'd say there's a role or two that could be improved on the leafs.

I'm torn. I love having McClaren and Orr on the 4th line on some nights, because when we physically impose our will on teams with our fists, we really bring an element that reminds me of that Ducks cup team, and we're extremely intimidating. Just as the habs... lol

But then, I think about having a 4th line where guys like Kenny Ryan and Brad Ross push for wing spots, flanking McClement, and have a line that really gets after it in all zones, can control the puck, and has a physical presence, as well as a little scoring touch.

You missed an even better name... Jerry D'Amigo.

I would love to have Jerry on our 4th line

I'm not as high on Jerry, but I did like his last playoffs.

Great news for Granberg. His team lost in the SEL finals last year and it looks like they steamrolled to the championship this season.

Personally want D'amigo to be that third line scorer, I think we can expect more from him.

Maybe they could move Jerry to the Devils for a pick. I think he'd fit in there and perhaps be given a greater opportunity to play to his potential.

It is never a good thing when potential is restricted.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

Actually if everything pans out, I would like to see a bottom 6 of:

Ross - Bozak - D'Amigo
Devane - Mclement - Ryan

The thing is, D'amigo will get very limited icetime as a winger on the fourth line (like 5-7 mins). Like LR said I see him more of a third line shutdown role. I'd rather have Mclaren and Orr playing those 5 mintes, even if its just to go show our toughness.

I like the potential of D'Amigo on McClement's wing.

Agreed, Jerry is one of the best PKers in the AHL.

Even if his offense doesn't progress he can still give you meaningful minutes as a 4th line and a key PK guy.

Rupert just scored with 5 seconds left in the first, griffith put a shot on net and Ruppert won the race and buried the loose puck.

Jerry will play in the NHL. I would be totally shocked if he did not, guys with motors like his and PK ability like his always have a spot. The fact he is scoring more is just gravy. I am pretty certain they like him as a candidate for the 3/4th line probably next season. But I would expect they ease him in very slowly.

To be honest, I expect Matt Frattin will be traded and Jerry D'amigo will take his spot. Dont think Frattin will make the top 6, and when he isnt scoring hes invisible. Not the same for Damigo.

Kid will be the most skilled winger on marlies team save for abbott pretty soon.

Percy may be closer than Rielly or Blacker. Maybe even Gardiner.

Is that due to his good play or the lack of good play from the others? But really, he;s played that solidly lately?

You won't be able to tell from his stats, he's a very quiet and efficient player. A better version of Gunnarsson, ideal partner for Phaneuf IMO.

Yes I've heard that you have to watch him to appreciate him. Can't say I've seen many games (like 2 maybe?) of him though so I don't really have an opinion on him at all.

The Leafs sure have a lot of captains/ex-captains.
