Brooks Laich - Nicklas Backstrom - Alex Ovechkin
Alexandre Burrows - Mike Ribeiro - Troy Brouwer
Jason Chimera - Stephen Weiss - Joel Ward
Jay Beagle - Matt Hendricks - Eric Fehr

Karl Alzner - John Carlson
Andrej Meszaros - Mike Green
Dmitry Orlov - John Erskine

Braden Holtby
Michal Neuvirth

We have a great trio of center depth down the middle with Backstrom, Ribeiro, and Weiss, winger depth, a good mix of offensive and defensive dman, and a young goalie who's proven to play well come playoff time. Should be a good series vs. the Devils but ultimately we believe we have the better team to advance.

Well, since I highly doubt that a) People will be active and b) People don't know your picks, just advertise them as draft picks.

Also, I need ballots for both. I have 4 for the playoffs and none for the KLLR Cup

Vanek - Datsyuk - Nyquist
Perron - Zetterberg - Brunner
Franzen - Filppula - Hornqvist
Tatar - Helm - Tootoo
Abdelkader, Andersson, Eaves, Miller, Emmerton

Kronwall - Ericsson
Volchenkov - Regehr
Quincey - Kindl
Smith, Dekeyser

Howard
Gustavsson

Depth is a killer in the playoffs and often in a tight series, the best 3rd line can be an indicator of who will be victorious. This 3rd line is arguably the best in the league. Combine that with firepower and two-way play in the top 6 and an energy 4th line and the forward group is extremely dangerous no matter who is out there. The defense lacks a go-to-guy but instead a group of 8 guys that is very responsible defensively with anyone on the ice and as a result will allow Kindl and Kronwall or Smith focus more on their offensive game. Howard makes the saves he has to and then some and could steal a game or two.

FORWARDS
Loui Eriksson - Steve Sullivan - Shane Doan
Mikkel Boedker - Martin Hanzal - Radim Vrbata
Bryan Bickell - Matt Cullen - David Moss
Raffi Torres - Boyd Gordon - Kyle Chipchura
Rob Klinkhammer - Matthew Lombardi

DEFENSEMEN
Keith Yandle - Derek Morris
Oliver E.-Larsson - Zbynek Michalek
Rostislav Klesla - Clayton Stoner
David Schlemko

GOALTENDERS
Mike Smith
Jason Labarbera

Very similar team to the one that went deep into last years playoffs, narrowly missed this year and looks to top the KLLR Playoffs. defense is as deep and steady as they come, the addition of some size to deal with the rigors of playoffs, no team compiles more hits then the Yotes. They'll bruise you til you give up. Eriksson gives Doan a legit top line winger to play with, Cullen has helped add depth to the middle. This team wins faceoffs, which means puck control. Depth on all 4 lines, speed, tenacity, and the biggest whiner in net means we're on our way.

For the people who do not know, the KLLR Cup is for the best rebuild. I should have clarified that.

I still need more ballots for the KLLR Cup. A lot more.

EDIT: Not going to post playoff results until I get a few more KLLR cup votes

I am giving people one day to complete each round, more than enough time. Also, I'm happy to make it to round 2; but, I have a tough, tough opponent. Really wanted to face the Bruins, just for the epicness this match-up will have.

My lineup will be as follows

JVR - Stastny - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Gaborik
MacArthur - Grabovski - Kulemin
Komarov - McClement - Orr

Weber - Phaneuf
Orpik - Gardiner
Franson - Klein

Luongo
Reimer

Why would this team beat the Bruins? Well, it's all based on the fact that my team has a significant amount more pure speed and offensive firepower than the Bruins, a firepower that should score more goals than their offense will against my defense. Weber and Phaneuf will be able to handle their top lines for the most part, logging at least 25 minutes a game. The other 35 minutes will be given to two solid pairings, each with a specific make up that should be able to neutralize the Bruins cycle game (Orpik and Klein as the positional defenders who clear the net, Franson and Gardiner as the puck movers to get us out of our zone).

Additionally, this team has every reason in the world to beat the Bruins. Through all the crap they have all taken (Kessel and "The trade", Luongo in the Cup Finals, the Leafs previously poor record last year), they will come out guns blazing against this strong Bruins team.

Don't get me wrong, the Bruins are a strong, strong team; but I believe we can just barely edge them out with a three scoring line team they probably will not know how to handle effectively. With that said, all the best of luck to the Bruins; but...

Totally understand. By that I meant 5 more mins as you saw that I handed my votes in fairly quickly after I commented that.

Very happy to make it out of round 1. Minnesota has an exciting young squad and will be a playoff contender for years to come.

We now have a great challenge in our long time rival, the Detroit Red Wings! The Wings added some significant pieces to their roster, including sniper Thomas Vanek, and David Perron. They can roll 4 lines, have plenty of leadership, and a dependable defense/goaltender. We hope that the dominant goaltending of Pekka Rinne, and our deep roster will help us defeat our Central Division foe!

Lines against Chicago:

Vanek - Datsyuk - Abdelkader
Franzen - Zetterberg - Nyquist/Brunner
Perron - Filppula - Hornqvist
Tatar - Helm - Tootoo/Andersson
Ex: Emmerton, Miller, Eaves, Brunner

Kronwall - Ericsson
Volchenkov - Regehr
Quincey - Kindl/Smith
Ex: Dekeyser

Howard
Gustavsson

How does Detroit beat Chicago?
Pekka Rinne is arguably the best goalie in the league and if we don't get into the dirty areas in front of the net and make every shot tough to see he'll make evey save. For this series, Brunner, despite being a very good goal scorer, does not fit the gameplan. Every line now contains two good skill guys who will keep the pace of play up and keep Rinne and their defense running around in their own end, and a more blue collar type player. Guys like Abdelkader, Franzen, Hornqvist, Tootoo, an Andersson will make life tough in front of the net and provide traffic for shots that'll be taken early and often from the skill, speed, and strength players they are surrounded with. We believe Howard, our defense and our responsible two-way forwards will be able to combine their efforts and limit the very talented and dangerous Blackhawks forwards line for line. We plan on winning the series in a very boring, ugly kinda way in what would seem to be a low scoring series.
