Kaberle for Komisarek

Got the idea from an unreliable, so called insider, but thought it was an interesting proposal. Both with 1 year left with very similar cap hits. Both have been waived. Both potential buyout candidates. Reunion with former teams. What do you think?

Finally an original proposal that has never been done before. Kudos to you!

If I was Montreal, I'd just wait until the summer to buyout Kaberle.

I think what in the hell would be the point? Nostalgia?

One's still decent offensively but soft as butter and has no compete. The other is decent defensively, tougher and hits but an offensive black hole.

Both of them aren't getting called up unless some major injuries happen. If that's the case the Leafs would rather have the physical right handed D.

False. Komi looked good in his limited playtime.

Neither player will see NHL ice this season whether they are traded for one another or not, so what's the point?

Not agreeing with either, but if he looked good why was he waived and no one picked him up for free? Leafs are 21st in goals against, if Komisarek is good defensively team could use him.

Keeps coming up and keeps being said
-montreal doesnt want komi
-we don't want kaberle

I'm a Kaberle fan and enjoyed watching him when he was here, but O'd rather go with who we have. I mean Komi isn't getting a shot, so why would we put Kabs back in?

His contract. There is no reason to pay for him to be a #6 Dman when you could get a guy who makes $750,000 to do it

Been proposed before. I'd rather have Komi as a depth defensemen from the Leafs perspective. Don't see any reason to do this.

We're going to judge this from his 4 games sample this year?

Both suck, but I'd rather have Komi in the lineup if I had to choose one.

Also both suck.

Both of them will get bought out this summer, and both will almost certainly spend the remainder of the season in the AHL, so why bother?

As a Bruins fan, I always made this trade before I started a franchise in NHL, because I feel like both guys belong with those teams!!

here's the thing: if Komi can't even crack the Leafs defensive lineup - what shot would he have at cracking the Habs?

No interest from Montreal. Kabs gets bought out in Summer. If MB is shopping, he can get someone better than Komisarek for less $$$.

Not twisting anything, just saying that is a very small sample size to try and sell a player who has been having a fair amount of down years. Now, I do think Komisarek is an NHL defenseman, and once his current contract runs out I can see him sticking as a third pairing dman on a team fairly easily.
