No way PHI deals Couturier for Clowe. I hope we get a good return though!

How far off would Bouchard+ be?

Both LH left wingers making about $4m headed for UFA this summer. I would imagine Wild add a 3rd for San Jose's 4th.

Just throwing it out there, I know you guys are probably looking for picks/prospects, but this would be a "hockey trade" that it seems like San Jose and Minny have made a bunch of times in the past couple years.

DW has already firmly stated he has zero interest in veteran rentals this year. Wants picks, prospects, or young guys ready to contribute at NHL level.

I could see them dealing Couturier if Burns was in the package with Clowe coming back.

Agreed. He has been absolutely dreadful this season, yet San Jose's acting like he's a 20 goal scorer. Most I see the Habs interested in offering is a decent prospect (none of Beaulieu caliber) and one of their plethora of seconds.

Sure! If you are adding Brayden Schenn and your 1st!

Burns is not a throw in, he's worth a LOT more than Clowe.

The promising Couturier going thru growing pains, as a lot of players do (see Jordan Staal) as sophs. NOT the time to deal him. #Flyers

Everyone stop getting your Panties in a Knot. I can confirm that its not Couturier, instead its Giroux.

There, Happy now?

I don't see how Clowe for Couturier is not a great deal.

Return would have to be huge. You would be asking the Sharks to essentially tank the season while they are in a playoff spot and playing their best hockey of the season.

People need to relax. Philly isn't going to deal Couturier for Clowe. I'm a Sharks fan and would LOVE to get Couturier but it's not going to happen. I'm curious to see what the return would be though. I'd imagine Simmonds, Schenn and Voracek are off the table, so who does that leave?

Certainly possible, but DW has stated that he's looking for picks, prospects and young roster players. I doubt he'd take on an aging Briere with a massive cap hit.

There really isn't much, that's why everyone in Philly is confused. We don't have enough assets to deal quite yet. Especially for a struggling winger.
