Don't forget Minny is in on Ryane Clowe and it's not like the Sharks/Wild have done deals before.

I'm told a Ryane Clowe trade is likely to happen today. We'll see if he comes out for the morning skate in an hour. #SJSharks

Read...who is far cheaper (and still has another year on the contract) and can play all three positions, plus PK and point on the power play and just for fun, is really good in the shootout. Add toughness (but not physicality) and high energy and good hockey sense to the mix and you've got a pretty nice player, despite his size. Basically points wise, he's a borderline 40-50 pt type. So that wouldn't be good asset allocation for us.

Other than that....nobody. Except CHL prospects.

I can't think of any reasonably fair deal here. Maybe the 2013 2nd, but I wouldn't like that much either.

As a matter of value, couturier + something small for Clowe + Hertl seems closer , but not realistic.

To get couturier, the sharks would seem to have to start with something more valuable than clowe. Clowe + something smaller doesn't seem to do it.

The Pens still need Clowe to help with the toughness,
so what do you say a 1st + Glass for Clowe?

Nevermind.
The new Pens third game result (2-0). Well, with Crosby out for a while, we are back in the hunt for more players. How about Tyler Kennedy and Tanner Glass, and we will throw in a 5th round pick all for one low price, Clowe?

Lets switch attention to MIN. I would love to have Coyle back. Clowe + 2nd for Coyle? Not enough?

I don't think we'll be trading Coyle. If that's the price, I hope Fletcher would pass.

What's Coyle's value?

Late first?

That would be too much by Sharks imo.

He's a Giants fan and today's opening day so it could mean nothing, but the orange & black would scare me a little if I was a Flyers fan.

Leading contenders for Clowe, IMO, would be PHI or MIN but it's fluid situation. NYR, VAN, MTL also in mix. 50-50 it happens today. #tsn
At least there are enough teams to get a quality deal done. I sincerely doubt it's Couturier as even a signed Clowe isn't worth him unless they throw in something pretty valuable with him.

if it is true that clowe has an extension lined up with phili, the return could go up significantly.

I could see Clowe for MacArthur happening, even though MacArthur has more points.

Again, not close. Irwin's had a very, very good 25 games, but he's a UFA too, if you recall.

@tpanotchCSN: source: though SJ would entertain a package deal of Clowe and Boyle, #Flyers dont think that is really feasible right now
