Because we have some cheap options within the system (Spooner, Knight, Bart, Krug) for next season I'd move Peverley during the offseason to make room for Clowe. If things work out with Söderberg that's a bonus and I don't think he'll have the leverage to get a top-6 salary.
I checked Capgeek and we can't fit more than one of Pevs, Kelly and Clowe under the cap next season if the top 4 d and top 5 FW stay.
While the guy is pretty accurate that I quoted, he's not as funny as me and won't fill your twitter with OHL stuff so you might want to give him a follow.
That said, Glencross has a NMC. If Chia is interested, he'll make sure that Feaster has crossed his t's and dotted his i's this time.
And then at the last minute hit Feaster over the head with a steel chair and pull the deal off the table. Ryan Clowe then steps out from behind the curtain with a waived NTC in hand and a Bruins jersey on.
Interesting, apparently this guy has heard that Svedberg is untouchable too? Khudobin back to the K next year (probably for big bucks).
Folks around the Bruins say Boston’s young American Hockey League goalie Niklas Svedberg is untouchable in a trade.
The Swede will be backing up Tuukka Rask next season with current No. 2 Anton Khudobin going to the Kontinental Hockey League. So, any spitball thought of the Edmonton Oilers getting Svedberg in a Ryan Whitney deal is kaput.
You have to presume that the same guys in the Iginla Calgary package that didn’t come to fruition are all still in play.
The list includes defenceman Matt Bartkowski and centre Alexander Khokhlachev, who was Nail Yakupov’s linemate on the Russian world junior team, winger Jordan Caron, who’s a third to fourth-liner, and perhaps Swedish centre Carl Soderberg, who’s second in Elitserien scoring but has never wanted to try the NHL.
The Oilers don’t mind Bartkowski. He played at Ohio State and came to them from Florida, along with Dennis Seidenberg.
True but we need to remember just how system oriented this team is. They're not going to add a guy for the PP who they can't fit nicely onto a line.
I am puzzled though when PC says he's not looking to add a center, that he wants a wing. Is he that confident in Kelly's return, or does he prefer Pevs at center over wing? For me, I'd take a third line center then slide Pevs to wing and Kelly can go LW when he gets back, or the new center slides to wing.
Anyway, I still don't take Ribeiro. Just not a Bruin.
