it might. Maybe we have entered a new era of NTC where players will specifically say trade me to Pittsburgh or I leave as a FA and you get nothing.

Or maybe he follows a more traditional route, and give the team a list of teams he is willing to play for, and then doesn't show he is a complete piece of **** and reneges on his word.

is this in regards to SJ's asking price or did something happen and I've clearly missed it?

Err

I checked Capgeek and we can't fit more than one of Pevs, Kelly and Clowe under the cap next season if the top 4 d and top 5 FW stay.

interesting.

Subban + 2nd sound about right? (not sure i do it, just trying to make a comparison)

2.5+ mill cap hit for the next two years (after this one)

Not sure.

While the guy is pretty accurate that I quoted, he's not as funny as me and won't fill your twitter with OHL stuff so you might want to give him a follow.

That said, Glencross has a NMC. If Chia is interested, he'll make sure that Feaster has crossed his t's and dotted his i's this time.

And then at the last minute hit Feaster over the head with a steel chair and pull the deal off the table. Ryan Clowe then steps out from behind the curtain with a waived NTC in hand and a Bruins jersey on.

They got Bishop for a second, so it feels a bit like Subban + a 2nd would be too much for GlenX at first glance. Sort of depends where you project Subban in your org.

Subban+3rd has a better ring to it.

Comparable perhaps is Svedberg or Khudobin and a pick, preferably Khudobin so as not to mess with Provo?

If so god I hope Boston gets in on that. Pick up a backup eslewhere on the cheap.

I think I would. Unless we feel Tuukka isn't the tender of the future. I love Tuukka, and have been defending him for years now, but I am starting to get nervous.

Would Subban alone do it considering this ****er owes us?

Have at it

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun 4m
Agent Don Meehan spoke with the Caps on Friday on Ribeiro (UFA in July) and was going to talk with team again today or tomorrow.

They wouldn't trade Subban for the other bum (refuse to speak that name), and they will for Glenncross?

Seems more like Koko and a pick. Where does Koko fit relative to Bishop?

At this point, I'd go for the best available, and bump Pevs to wing, Kelly to 3rd line wing/4th line center when he returns.

Hence my beating of the Derek Roy drum, but Ribeiro would be the same idea

Pevs-Roy-Kelly

From now on, let's all assume every single player in the league has a Full NMC. We'll be right at least 80% of the time.

One that doesn't, but won't help the Bruins however (at least not this year)

Little birdie told me the Leafs would be willing to part with Jake Gardiner

Svedberg untouchable?

http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/201...ys-busted-jaw/

Interesting, apparently this guy has heard that Svedberg is untouchable too? Khudobin back to the K next year (probably for big bucks).

Quote:
Folks around the Bruins say Boston’s young American Hockey League goalie Niklas Svedberg is untouchable in a trade.

The Swede will be backing up Tuukka Rask next season with current No. 2 Anton Khudobin going to the Kontinental Hockey League. So, any spitball thought of the Edmonton Oilers getting Svedberg in a Ryan Whitney deal is kaput.

You have to presume that the same guys in the Iginla Calgary package that didn’t come to fruition are all still in play.

The list includes defenceman Matt Bartkowski and centre Alexander Khokhlachev, who was Nail Yakupov’s linemate on the Russian world junior team, winger Jordan Caron, who’s a third to fourth-liner, and perhaps Swedish centre Carl Soderberg, who’s second in Elitserien scoring but has never wanted to try the NHL.

The Oilers don’t mind Bartkowski. He played at Ohio State and came to them from Florida, along with Dennis Seidenberg.

True but we need to remember just how system oriented this team is. They're not going to add a guy for the PP who they can't fit nicely onto a line.

I am puzzled though when PC says he's not looking to add a center, that he wants a wing. Is he that confident in Kelly's return, or does he prefer Pevs at center over wing? For me, I'd take a third line center then slide Pevs to wing and Kelly can go LW when he gets back, or the new center slides to wing.

Anyway, I still don't take Ribeiro. Just not a Bruin.
