Does anyone think that the reason Sbisa has been hot and cold this year is he is nursing an injury. He has been out a few games lately and maybe it has been bothering him most of the year?

Just a thought.

I doubt he have anything. We had 6 defenseman as good aor better than him this season, i ddoubt there`s any chance he`d be forced to play. He had time to heal, even if that meant missing season.

He`d rather heal properly than let the injury get worse.

Not confirmed but wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Getzlaf and/or Francois Beauchemin might rest as well. Better idea on that tomorrow.

Precisely. He's just crapped the bed at many points this season, to be honest.

Etem talking to Ryan about how the playoffs are.

“I asked Bobby [Ryan], maybe about a week ago, what the playoffs are like,” said Etem. “He said at Honda Center, there’s nothing really like it.”

Adds Etem, “I just expect what they’re telling me. There’s nothing else like the fans here in Honda Center during playoff time. Me being the young guy, I just want to play a simple game. That’s why I’m not nervous. I know the game I need to play. Play the body, get the puck deep and create energy for our team.”

BB on youth movement?
On advising the younger players: “Everybody here has pretty well been in the playoffs at some part of their lives. Sometimes they’re so excited, what you’re really doing is calming them down. The experienced guys know what to expect. They don’t panic. The younger guys have to learn. You’re either going to make mistakes, as we all are, but they’re not going to make mistakes for lack of effort. They’ll be working their rear ends off.”

Hey guys, this is not a trade question, but how has Cam Fowler been lately? I've always been a fan of his, thought he was the 3rd best player from that draft, couldn't believe how he dropped to 12th, don't like your team but I still like Cam Fowler

So how has he been? His stats aren't great, but is that not telling? Will he ever score 40 points again?

He is solid, started off the season slow but has recently picked it up, still young, I think he will be great once he gets a couple more years of experience.

He's one of the two defensemen on our team that I'm fully confident in, in every situation. Bad stats or not, that's saying something.

@DucksColorman Rookie D Sami Vatanen has played well enough to be a legitimate option for playoff duty, #NHLDucks coach Bruce Boudreau said.

I'd rather Beleskey wasn't scratched, especially in the playoffs, but for whatever reason Boudreau doesn't see him as a regular.

He has been playing a lot more often recently and had some first line time while Ryan was out, I think Boudreau maybe is seeing him as a regular now, he has been (in my eyes anyway) consistently good and I think he is being rested so he's ready for the playoffs

Yeah I'd expect Beleskey to be in the line up for the playoffs.

Some of the bottom 6 players getting rested this time?

Beleskey is very necessary for the playoffs...for that grit and occasional goal. Seems to fit in well on the 2nd PP unit as well.

No reason not to play him IMO.

I see Vatanen as an acceptable risk as well. At least in the first few games.

A little more puck mobility and triggers from the point can't hurt things.

Beleskey has missed 2 games all year, why would they toss him out in playoffs?

Point being, they wouldn't.
