Howard and Young go back to back.

6-0

Lee well on the way to picking up win #2. Something he didn't do last season until July 31.

Hate the Yankees, love Cano.

Carrasco gets tossed...without even a warning. Um, K.

Well they're both 0-for tonight and we still score 7 runs.

Depth.

We got about another month to pad the win column before Granderson comes back and ruins everything

What was the question? Apparently my buddy caught Nick Hundley's HR ball.

adrian gonzalez is second all time in padres homeruns, who is the padres all-time homerun leader.

my guess: phil nevin (156 as a padre).

the answer, the unheralded:

That surprised me. Nevin or Winfield would've been my guesses.

Same here. Unheralded, indeed.

I don't know how I feel about the year round interleague games taking place, I always looked forward to the interleague weekends but it does make sense.

Another pair of RBIs for Cervelli. I think this guy can play a little bit; more than he gets credit for.

Interleague sucks. Especially in NL parks.

He definitely seems to come up with some clutch hits, doesn't K much and has been good defensively when I have seen him.

I still think he's pretty horrible, but he has been better at the plate this year. At worst he's a competent backup, which you couldn't say last season.

I like Michael Kay's take on Cano's work over the past two games: "You knew somebody would have to pay for Cano's slow start to the season."

Yeah it's the little things. Doesn't strikeout alot, moves runners along, gets hits when we need them, doesn't let balls go right through his legs behind the plate, works very well with the staff.

He was always a nice little player but he never got a chance because the Yankees like to spend money on a big name rather than give a decent heart and soul player a chance. I think its gonna be good for them to have this guy in the lineup. He's not a star but he's one of those guys who bleeds team colors and really provides a spark.

Well we'll see but if he can keep up what he's done so far I'd be very happy with him as our catcher.

And I'm glad somebody is paying for Cano's slow start, up until yesterday it was my blood pressure paying for it

He didn't get a chance because the Yankees couldn't afford to carry a backup catcher who launched half his throws into centerfield.

I'm glad that Cervelli is playing solid baseball right now, but let's not kid ourselves -- the kid's one of the worst starting catchers in the game.

This.

He played well for about 5-6 weeks in 2010 when he got regular PT and then fell off the cliff. I'll reserve my judgement of Cervelli for a little while.

It wasn't suppose to be good but it looks worse than expected.

Yup. With Weaver gone for 4-6 weeks that does not help either.

Wilson will be lucky to get through 5 innings.

Lol Astros up 6-0 in 1st.

Also that home plate ump that blew a call against Rays blew another call tonight. This one went against Rangers. He was at third base tonight.
