Eller to Vancouver

Vancouver could use another young centre who could possibly play second line but could also play third line. Janik hansen is a fellow countryman of eller and i think that they would make a great third line along with raymond?

What would it take to get him in Vancouver?

P.S. this is coming from a rumor thread that the habs are shopping eller

looks like the fanbases have the same idea. unite the danes. That said, i highly doubt montreal would move eller.

meh, Vancouver would have to overpay slightly to get him. Not sure it's worth it from them. Especially with Kesler, Shroeder and Sedin ahead of him in the depth chart. He'd remain stuck on the third line and with his potential limited.

Eller could be moved today for an overpayment but I think a team like Chicago is more desperate to find a center.

If Eller is to be moved it will be in the off-season and that's IF management think that Galchenyuk is ready to play center full time. I dont see Eller traded before Wednesday.

Eller will NOT be moved period.

It has nothing to do with Gally.... He would a top two center, Eller is an excellent two way third line center.

Eller, Gally, Galchenyuk, Subban, Patches, Price are the young core.... Massive overpayment required !

Schroeder+Raymond/Kassian+3rd

Overpayment IMO, but I'd do it.

Eller is worth Schroeder but it defeats the purpose for both teams.

Adding in Kassian is ridiculous but adding in Raymond would not help us as we need him and montreal may not be able to re sign him.

The third is further overpayment that isnt necessary.

We arent good trading partners

I now agree that it will be near impossible if not completely impossible for the canucks to land eller unless they throw in key peices to there future. Thanks for your thoughts

what a coincidence! montreal could also use another young center who can play 2nd and 3rd line minutes. in other words, he's not getting dealt in a lateral move. he gets moved for a big upgrade at center and nothing less. He's had a terrific year and is on a great contract through next year

I have no problem with the habs trading eller for the right price. We have plekanec , dd , galchenyuk

Would want a physical winger for him

Habs won't move Eller unless it is for something fantastic. Can't see it happening now. I would try to move him in the summer to draft a Drouin. But short of that can't see it happening.

Hansen is no more physical than Gallagher or Eller.

Montrel need a big body, bigger than Hansen, someone like Crowe, Shawn Matthias, Martin Hanzal, John Mitchell, Jamie McGinn, Marcus Foligno...

Those players don't hold the same value.

Canucks run and hide from this offer.

Eller is not available. Our Hansen. No reason for MTL to move him.

He meant one trade or the other i think kassian + 3rd or raymond + schroeder... But like when MTL wanted Hansen, Eller and Hansen are worth the same as eachother and no team would want to part with them so they wont be playing together anytime soon

I like Eller. No, I really like Eller. But if the right offer came about, I'd definitely think twice about trading him.

I'd say something like Kassian and a first would be close value. Habs would then have two picks in the first 3 rounds at the draft, perhaps being able to trade up...

Yeah well I wouldn't do either of those deals. And yeah I know, these ideas have been throw around and shot down pretty quickly.

What does your last sentence even mean? We already have like 5 picks in the first 3 rounds..

I wouldn't trade Eller for Kassian and a 1st. Disgusting.

Eller is the perfect 3rd line center. You win a cup with a player like that as your 3rd line center.

The only way I can see the Habs move Eller is something like Eller + a significant roster player + a pick for Kesler. Anything else is not going to do much for them the rest of the season and for the future.

It's like asking Chicago to move Bolland, an extremely useful player right now that would have a role in the organization for a long time to come.
