If I'm not mistaken, the Habs have one first round pick, two second and two thirds. By trading to get Vancouver's first, the team would have 2 picks in each of the first 3 rounds. This would allow them to package some of them to trade up to get a better pick at the draft. Hope it's clearer.

You're mistaken. They have 3 second rounders this year, their own, Calgary's and Nashville's.

We have 3 seconds if I'm not mistaken. Nashville's, calgary's and ours.

TBH Kassian and a first wouldn't be such a bad deal for Eller.

Overpayment IMO, but I'd do it.
I'd take Kassian straight up for Eller.

I would say that is fairly close to value. Your other offers are pretty confusing offering the same thing for Giordano as you would Yandle!

Beaulieu
Leblanc
1st

For Yandle is awesome, for Giordano not so much.

no thanks. im not interested in any players on the canucks for Eller.
we need gritty wingers that can play on the 2 first lines in montreal.
and looking at canucks i don't see any wingers that i'd like to have..

... Sorry what am I missing here?

Eller is worth two 1st round picks?

Yandle is an incredible talent, in your dreams Beaulieu becomes as good as him.

What's your point? It wouldn't only take Beaulieu we would have to add ALOT. So I'd rather keep the picks and Beaulieu and the other prospects.

The guy we could really use would be Bieska.

Tough, RH D that can play PP, PK, clear the net, be physical.

I know he's a big part of the d and would be missed but it looks like you have depth there and would be getting back a big part of our lineup.

MTL
Eller

for

VAN
Bieska

As said though, more likely to be an off season move if at all.

For Giordano it was 1st Beaulieu and Weber .. no Leblanc.

Giordano isn't as good as Yandle, but he's a 30-40 points Top-3 guy who is signed to a beauty of a contract. He's physical, good defensively and good offensively.

As a Habs fan first, Canucks fan second.. I wouldn't trade Eller for Kassian and a 1st. Not even a chance.

Kassian isn't even good enough to be in our Top-12 right now.

Would you add a second rounder ? If so, Vancouver does this.

So, you'd rather limit Eller to the 3rd line behind midget Desharnais ? Both of you and I know he wont be dealt soon... Unfortunately.

While I like Eller more than Desharnais, Eller's limited vision might keep him from being a second line center.

Yeah the nucks fans like Eller and we habs fans like Hansen. Both of them would do huge damage together but on what team?

Kassian would be a start for sure i wanted the habs to draft him. But i like Eller a lot and i wouldn't want to trade him except if we have to.

Your point is? That doesn't mean it was a good trade.

Kassian would not be enough for the habs to give up Eller he is a very large part why the habs are having success this year because our 3 lines are producing well.

I was just meaning we just got Kassian and i believe we wouldn't give up on him yet. Im not a GM so i don't know what the actual fair value is.

The undervaluing of Kassian in this thread is hilarious. Alright Habs fans.

Raymond and a 2nd with maybe a prospect thrown in is what I'd do for Eller. No more, no less.
