Pass on Clowe if that **** is true. Nowhere near worth that money. Usually, he'd have to sign a 1 year deal to prove himself worthy of such a contract but there will be a stupid GM out there to sign him to 5 years.

RDS is discussing about Pominville already giving a list of 8 teams that he would accept a trade. I would love to see him in a Habs jersey.

I want Pominville so bad. He would look awesome on a line with Eller and Ryder.

My understanding is that in Pominville's case he has a clause that allows him to give a list of 8 teams he would NOT play in.

And yeah, Pominville is solid. Really good player.

In my dreams: Gionta+1st+Pateryn for Pominville

Gio goes back to upstate NY, Buffalo gets an NHL winger, a 1st and a prospect (which is as high as anyone has ever really paid for a dead-line pickup)

we need a number 4 dman to play with Markov i think Emelin is being overused right now Regher would be perfect if he could play right side

I just find it hard to believe Sabres trade with habs..same division 3pts out of playoff spot.

Why dont Flames trade Kipper to Oilers

I don't think a captain has ever been traded during a season where a team challenges for conference lead...

It's Pominville, not Gretzky. Why you giving up so much!? Holy overpayment Batman!

I said it's in my dreams. I definitely don't expect Gionta to get traded, much less this year.

A late first, an effective cap dump and a middling prospect? Gionta is an injury prone 20g20a guy at best, Pominville is younger, bigger and he's had better season recently.

IMO Pominville value is pretty close to Gionta + 1st.

There's slightly less reason NOT to trade within the division starting next year, as our division will increase to eight teams and we'll play each team less.

Not sure if it was your implication but Pominville is signed for next year too. So he wouldn't be your typical deadline pick-up.

I agree with Avim86 though - no matter what your personal feelings are about Gionta, he'll never in a million years get traded this year. More to the point, why would Buffalo want him?

I'd love Pominville but it would cost a lot. Like, some combination of Eller/Beaulieu/Collberg/1st/2nd, depending if they want roster players or prospects.

Been thinking this for a while now, but i'm not sure about Regehr being the same player he was in CGY. I think moving Gorges with Markov, and then bringing in another Gorges type to play with PK would work. Emelin down to the 3rd pairing with Bouillon with Emelin back on his natural side. He seems less effective on his off wing.

Markov Gorges
xxxxx PK
Emelin Bouillon

Robyn Regehr has been asked to waive NMC to go to LA Kings and intends to do so. Deal still to be done. Details to follow. #tradecentre

Will be interesting to see what LAK gave to compare it with what we would of have needed to give

Why would Buffalo even want Gionta? I'm sure other teams can offer a good prospect + 1st. That offer doesn't even come close.

Yeah I figured that Pominville was signed through another year but in terms of players and trades at the trade deadline, we've rarely if ever seen a huge five pieces for one kinda thing.

And yeah I dream he'll get traded but he won't. He won't .

Pominville would cost a 1st+NHL Player+Prospect, maybe a better prospect than Pateryn but the NHL player going back has got to be Gionta, no one else would make sense for us.

Two seconds for Regher. Good pass by MB. Especially if they're both picks for this year

That's why. We were interested. Buffalo probably asked for more because of the division.

Good pass on Regehr. Probably would have been higher for us.

If Regher didn't re-sign with us it would've barely affected them. I doubt that.
