Spent a solid 45 minutes or so chipping in the basement with my new 56* and 60* wedges. Friggin May snow. Should be out mooching the municipal putting/chipping area instead.

Ha, that kind of beard would be great
I'm more of a huge fan of the mohawk/ponytail combo thing he's got. That looks badass as all hell.

Plus his wife is drop dead gorgeous, and she's also a badass shieldmaiden. I can only hope I can get my girlfriend to dress as Lagertha if I go as Ragnar.

Unrelated: Outside of my class this morning was a big book sale. $.50 for paperbacks, $1.00 for hardcover. They weren't open for another hour but just had the books sitting out. I got two, dropped $1.00 in quarters into a basket hidden under a box, and I can only hope that nobody is stealing the money. Anybody ever read either of these?

The Apostle - Brad Thor

The Hellfire Club - Peter Straub

Thor's book is apparently the 8th in a series so I have some catching up to do, but THC is supposed to be a very awesome horror/suspense book. I don't really know anything about either author or book but these two were in fantastic shape especially for only $.50 each.

Is first person hockey with Google Glass awesome? Yes it is.

So go outside and put on a coat, or sit under a blanket while you drink.

When life gives you lemons, make life rue the day it thought it could give cave johnson lemons.

Speaking of, I'm supposed to be looking at wedding crap, not golf crap (well, technically I'm supposed to be working).

TP, you're good with lawn games. I briefly had a bean bag game last year but returned it because it was cheap garbage. What stuff do you recommend buying vs making?

Any ideas outside bocce, ladder toss, bean bags, horseshoes?

When life gives you lemons, add a little gin, club soda, and some Tom Collins mix.

My favorite outdoor game the last couple of years is Kubb. Google plans for it. It's relatively easy to make with just lumber, measuring tape, and a saw.

I also have life-sized Jenga which is fun for a later night drinking game.

I generally don't buy anything as I like to work with wood and what not. The only thing I'm always on the lookout for, buying wise, is old Lawn Darts. I have 3 sets now and tend to go to a few garage sales a year with the gal in search for more...

What about something like croquet? We had a set when we lived on a lake. Whenever we didn't feel like swimming (which happens once you're out of the whole swimming is special mindset that not living next to a lake or pool provides) we had a croquet set we could set up. We never learned to play it properly, but we'd just set the things up and play it like a mini golf course or something.

Seems like that would be a LOT of fun to do while drunk.

I think he misspelled it. The "d" is right next to the "f".

Kubb is great. I went to the Kubb national championships in Eau Claire last summer.

Note: I was living in Eau Claire at the time, did not travel there for it.

Beer darts is increasingly fun and increasingly dangerous as the game goes along.

I'd suggest looking into Beer Frisbee as well. Minimal equipment needed (Two beer bottles, two PVC posts, two frisbees, and more beer).

I currently live in a town for college that is known to have abnormally high amounts of cold and snow all throughout the year.

My family/friends live in southern minnesota, where they got a foot of snow last night. I have none. It is worthy of a celebration and don't you dare take it from me!
Snow in May is crazy !

Went out for a bike ride and found a photo of derrick thomas in a protective case in the middle of a rarely used road. Weird...
