If we do that, Feaster will have no choice but to throw in a 3rd round pick.

Okay, lets get something straight. You dont like Bishop straight up for Glencross, and you shouldnt. But Bishop plus Stone or Noesen or a first is laughable let alone two of those pieces and bishop. DaCosta would be more realistic, even then that is a deal I doubt Ottawa goes for.

I would suggest Ottawa trades Bruce Garrioch to Calgary for Eric Francis but this would be the epitome of a lateral move.

Hoping this happens, Glencross would add a lot to the Sens forward corps.

I dont know Francis seems more dickish while Garrioch is a friendlier idiot.

I doubt Calgary could get Glencross to waive his NTC, and I don't know why they would do this trade anyways. He is on a cheap contract, Feaster can use the extra money to overpay an aging vet.

Well once you hear the rumor, and the trade didnt happen within a couple hours of it, that means its not gonna happen.

Was never very likely. Glencross likes it in Calgary, which is why he wanted the NMC and also why he signed for less than market value.

Yea.. I hear Glencross has a NTC.. so If it isn't him i'd be more then happy to take Cammalleri off your hands. We pursued him hard before he signed in MTL but couldnt commit to the term he wanted as we were caught up in the Heatley fiasco.

Sens fielding calls on Bishop

A source told ESPN.com Monday that the Ottawa Senators have received "several calls" regarding goalie Ben Bishop the past day or so.

The Senators, I don't think, feel pressed in moving Bishop before Wednesday's deadline. They're more than happy to wait until the summer to figure out their three-goalie situation with Bishop, Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner.

However, if a team made a strong enough push on Bishop (hint, hint: top-six forward), then he could certainly be moved over the next few days.

Meanwhile, pending UFA blue-liner Sergei Gonchar is more than likely staying put. The Senators need him for the playoff run.

i think his dream proposal is macormick, dzingel, rutkowski, dziurzynski, aneloski, borowiecki.

we could get anyone on the flames for that deal, unless feaster has a heart attack seeing all the college guys and names ending in ski or close to ski

This is more than a little sad now. Garrioch throws a name out there, literally picking it out of his hat and yet people still think it's a legit rumour. This is literally complete speculation as Garrioch admits in the article.

I didn't know HF needed to trump up the deadline as well. Maybe they've gotten tips from TSN.

The worst part is Garrioch got the speculation from a poster on Clagarypuck.com. Very convenient someone posts a Ben Bishop thread and a DAY LATER Garrioch states it as a trade rumor. Brutal.

Bishop would make more sense if the Flames didn't have the Ramo option for next year.

They already have longer-term options in Gillies and Brossoit. I don't see Bishop as having a lot of attraction for them.

Even setting all that aside, I don't think there's any way Glencross waives his NTC for an Eastern team.

Apparently proven 22 year old NHL starters are available.
