Xspyrit, Glencross is a far better player than you seem to assert. He is a top 6 on a lot of teams with an excellent motor and great shot. Defensively responsible and tons of grit. This from an Oilers fan.

Bishop is several years older has only played in 23 games while he has good numbers in 23 games that is far from 'proven'

I think it's cute how you guys seem to throw around Ramo being the best goaltender in the KHL as if no one can actually check.

I think my fellow Senators fans will recognize one name when you take at the goaltending leaders in the KHL this year.

Ramo has at least the pedigree of Gustavsson. This your problem you are simply looking at what the goaltender has done without factoring how their team was.

I think its cute you know nothing about the team he has been on the last 2 years, Bob Mac said several scouts believe he is the best goalie not in the NHL and could very be a starter but your right the stat sheet knows more than scouts.

36 Games played*

Bishop has always been stuck behind good goalies so naturally he doesn't have a ton of games.

We may start Berra in the AHL and sign a vet backup but team isn't going out of its way to get another goalie at this moment in time.
Brad Richards traded for a package centered around 26 year old goalie Mike Smith.

Some guy named Miikka only had 48 NHL games played when he landed with this 'Flames' team

Wasn't a rebuild they were retooling and that proves the point that acquiring a goalie like Bishop generally doesn't work out the way people think.

Sorry go through the trade deadline video from last year, Bob Mac said scouts feel Ramo can be a starting goalie.

Has their been any additional tweets or information about this rumour, I'm too lazy to go through 400+ posts.

Move the goalposts however you want, but organizations do value 26 year old goalies if they think they can become starters. Whether or not it's a good fit is a different story, but the value is there.

No it was speculation, in fact Feaster has reportedly told teams that Gio and Glencross are the 2 players the Flames want to keep through the rebuild. That isn't to say they are untouchable but they require massive overpayment to get.

That is a bad idea. This is why Bishop makes so much sense for the Flames. If you really believe that Ramo can be a starter for you, you need to insulate him in a tandem. You can't just throw him out into your net and cross your fingers, Flames fans realize that, right?

I am not saying we don't value 26 yearold goalies but we have 2 right now that could provide the same level of goaltending. Is it a risk yes of course neither has had success in NA, are we competing for a playoff spot? No so the risk is fairly minimal.

No there have not xD were just argueing that flames goalies suck Now.

BTW Andrei Vasilevski is a better goalie so I call bull on what you guys are saying on him being the best goalie not in the NHL xD.

As a casual flames fan with no bias here I'm kinda pissed off that they are gonna run 2 guys that I don't think will get it done.

Second question to Calgary fans.

What is the difference in value between Curtis Glencross and Mike Calamari?

Dont ask. Based on what they've been asking for GlenX Cammy would warrant 2 1sts and Erik
