When did the Flyers get in to this race?

I thought it was Bruins, Habs, Rangers and Canucks.

I guess 2014 1st?

Uh, why are the Flyers interested in Ryan Clowe? They should be sellers, not buyers.

HAS to come with an extension in place no? Or at the very least the Flyers were given permission to speak to his agent prior to acquiring him to guage his interest in re-signing there? Otherwise, what the hell is the point?

Yessss. With Pronger, Meszaros, Coburn and Grossmannnnn out, all we need is a forward.

Wouldn't clowe want to play in the playoffs this year if he's traded.

I'm guessing it comes with an extension, as there was speculation that they were given permission to talk with the agent.

I can't see them doing that. 2014 1st round pick makes a bit of sense...but I'd be very scared to even trade that pick.

Now that Talbot is out for the year with a broke leg, this kind of fits. Supposedly they also have the extension worked on.

With a win last night the Flyers are only 2 pts out of 8th with the Rangers slumping.

Lol please be for a 1st round pick.

This might finally convince Holmgren lovers that he's a joke and should be fired.

Flyers are only two points out. I'm not surprised if they are buyers, Holmgren is not a patient man.

Not. Credible. At. All.

So we should pay attention because a hometown newspaper says they have sources? Robin should stick to writing about the ice caps.

Makes absolutely no sense for the Flyers. If it actually happens and the Flyers give up anything of value there are going to be some seriously p*ssed off Flyers fans.

If they have negotiated an extension, it makes sense. As a pure rental, not as much.

The 2014 draft is in Philadelphia, I would think they would want to have their 1st round pick.

That makes sense.

Philly was the 7th seed when they made the Cup Finals...get in and anything can happen.

I never thought of this but...Pens vs Flyers ROUND 2! If they get the 8th seed. Hope they pick up right where they left off

Says in the article that they've already agreed to an extension.
