Hopefully he's out of the organization completely and they get a guy that will actually help our prospects progress, not regress.

WHAT?

I don't care about defensive prowess. You got no goals, Ron.

I dunno... can we think of a better game since he's been here?

Yeah, he's in over his head...and has a bad team to boot, which just makes the floundering more apparent. I expect that Pegula and Black will push for a new, veteran head coach who may be able to come in and provide some stability.

I'll accept that Hecht is a better defensive player than CoHo, but think if you do that, you bump him to the 2nd, or at worst 3rd line. Putting CoHo with 32 and 36 makes about as much sense as putting me there. You'll get no offense, and mediocre defense in limited ice time.

Mike Harrington ‏@BNHarrington 1m

I LOVE that @BrianWGR is calling out Pegula, torching him for not talking to media. Flagship station postgame, folks. Not just me or TBN.

And here we go...........

Anyone catch Pommer's post game interview. Did he seem sort of shaken to anyone else?

Pegula talks : Media writes stories about how he's a meddling owner telling Darcy what to do.
Pegula doesn't talk : Media writes stories about this faux obligation that they think he has.

Narratives!!

And that would be a bad move unless you get one who has consistently won in the NHL.

I'd still go for a young coach who can grow with the players and in time become a good HC.

They did contain the Bruins well almost all night and it was some Leopold-like defense from Sekera and both their young centers chasing that lead to both goals against. Rolston was clearly concerned by Hodgson's defensive game against a team like the Bruins. It's part of the growing pains he and Ennis will have to go through.

Well with Cooper up with the big club in Tampa, that leaves Eakins as the best candidate as far as young, up-and-comers go. (I'm not buying the Patrick Roy hype.) I'd be all for that, but I'd also be all for a solid veteran if they become available. Guys like Carlyle and Boudreau got canned last year and went to new teams and did great things.

Was the decision to make him interim coach the first step in removing him from the organization altogether? Just wondering out loud.

I guess I just disagree with that coaching angle then. You can and should adjust the lineup to the opponent, but as the home team with last change, you should be able to play a little more of a matchup game and not basically take your most offensively gifted center off the scoresheet before you start, especially when Vanek is out too.

That's just too much of a mindset of trying to get one ugly one and ride your goaltender, which was Ruff's plan most nights this year, and we saw how the defense can't handle that.

Although it makes sense if Ron Ron really has been told to write it off and just work on player development for next year. In that case I like the move.

That's the only positive I could find in the promotion.

Pegula was a goat before day 1 with TBN. Nobody from the paper could really get anything about what was happening with the sale, everything came from the national media. Once he got here, he sat in a room with the entire sports department and told them to their faces he thought they sucked at their jobs.

Pretty sure nobody there is allowed to say anything positive about the man.

Did that seriously happen? I've listened to a million postgame shows and Brian Koziol never calls out anyone without 12 layers of qualification, dude is white bread.

Well, Pegula did get a little homerish when he bought the club. It's understandable. I would want pictures with Buffalo legends too if I could swing it, and would reach out to the fan base and express my love and commitment for the team. On the flip side, when things head south there's really no use in making yourself available. Everyone knows the outcome already, so why feed the fire with statements that can only be misquoted, misread, etc? So silence is the only option until the season ends, but Pegula did kind of set himself up for a little criticism. But in the end its meaningless and silly, like Harrington's opinion in general.
