Greatest Swedish Player of Time?

Please rank your greatest Swedish players of all-time? Here are some notables:

Mats Sundin GP 1346 G 564 A 785 PTS 1349
*first European to be drafted #1 overall
*all-time swedish leader in goals and points
*led Sweden to 06 Gold

Peter Forsberg GP 708 G 249 A 636 PTS 885
*2 Stanley Cups
*Hart + Art Ross + Calder
*ranks 10th all-time in points per game and 4th all-time in assists per game
*shortened career, hampered by injuries.

Niklas Lidstrom
*4 Stanley Cups
*7 Norris
*1st European Captain to win Cup

Other notables: Daniel Alfredsson, Markus Naslund

Remember, this isn't about WHO HAD THE BEST CAREER / WHO YOU'D WANT TO BE, but a combination of talent/skill, leadership, impact on game.

For example: Gretzky had a better career+stats than shortened careers of Orr, Bossy or Lemieux due to injuries, but many would argue any of the latter are the greatest.

I'll go with Lidstrom. 7 Norris trophies is insane.

Lidstrom followed at a safe distance by Forsberg but that's more because he was my favourite player growing up.

I feel like this post is designed to make people pick Forsberg, given you didn't list where other players finish all time for points, goals and assists, and the fact that you made an excuse for him mentioning the injuries, and then in the final line asking people to avoid looking at careers.

Lidstrom likely, but to leaving Salming and Mats Naslund off the list is blasphemous.

I think it would be hard for Mats to win this.

I'll go with Lidstrom here only because it is totally possible he could have been awarded at least 1 Hart trophy in his career if there wasn't such a bias against Dmen. 7 Norris trophies pretty much locks up the best Swedish player title.

Forsberg is likely the best Swedish forward to have played.

1-Lidstrom
2-Sundin

Really? To be 100% honest, you're wrong. My pick is Mats Sundin as the greatest Swedish player ever. The reason why I said not to just pick who had the greatest career is because everyone will just pick Nik Lidstrom when you see his 4 cups and 7 norris. It's not that cut and dry. He had the best career by far....even if he had poor stats, just winning 4 cups alone makes ur career better than most.

I want people to think carefully at the individual and not what team they were lucky to play for and win cups.
