I like how Flip suddenly seems to have a pulse.

1. Filppula looks good out there. And I think he's looked better at center than I remember him being. He's being more aggressive. Attacking more. This was true of last game as well, even if the team as a whole sucked.

2. Nyquist, obviously has the goods. He just needed/needs some time. And obviously giving him a guy like Brunner, who knows how to go to the soft areas and finish is going to help a ton. He's just not going to be very good with two grinders.

3. Smith trying too hard imo. He's making mistakes. I think he feels like he *needs* to score and he's trying to force it.

Yeah. I will never understand that. A right handed shot is great, but you're not only creating a liability up there but you're wasting one of our best scoring talents by not putting him in his wheelhouse.

I agree. He's looked better at center to past two games than he has at wing all year long. Maybe when Z comes back you keep Fil at center and either put Z on his wing, or give Pav and Z some more time together.

Can't wait to see Nyquist get sent down when Sammy returns.

I'm not sure. I think part of it might be that Filp feels like his role changes drastically after being made center. But another part might be who he is playing with. He's got Cleary and Miller. Maybe he feels like he has to do more. Because this is a level of aggro that I don't remember from him. Something's different.

How much better would the lineup be with Tatar, Helm, Nyquist instead of Cleary, Sammy and Andersson/Emmerton.

Imagine we traded Billins/Marshall/Almqvist + D.Larsson, those are the equivalents imo.

Good deal for the Blues then I guess. Still glad we still have our 1st.

Not sure it would be much better. More offense maybe.

Get it together Trevor Thompson. I swear everyone from FSD are just mailing the rest of the season in.

Tough to say. Rookies are unpredictable. It's worth the gamble though.

Plugging in consistent garbage that nets you a first round exit isn't worth it.

I'm having trouble trying to find something to complain about during this game. So glad to see Brunner net one, especially off of a tasty feed by Goose!

This team hasn't even had Sammy playing yet... How can you even draw a comparison?

Jaybo playing his 1st playoff game this year. He'll be the reason the Blues miss the playoffs.
