I think I saw it on Point Blank, but it has been pretty obvious for a while. It could just be another sickness. This year was the year for it.

Wrong, that would be Brad Boyes. Go figure that Boyes gets thrown on that line and that line becomes as stale as it has been since JT and Moulson have been together.

Nothing. Excuses probably. He is playing like complete crap. Not like his linemates are giving him much support but I am truly disappointed in his play. He is carrying the puck for too long and constantly turning it over. He is no longer pursuing the puck and just looks lazy out there. Reveals how bad his linemates really are at the same time. He plays a ton in his own zone. He just looks frustrated and exhausted all the time now.

I'm at the point I would like to see Boyes fall head first into a woodchipper, with Streit and Moulson holding his ankles.

I kid, but I would like to see one of them benched to send a message. All three are playing like morons lately.

This was a must win and we got it! Great job Isles.

Czikas, Martin, and Hickey played very well today. It's about time Hickey showed something. A Mac was his usual horrible self out there.

Lets go Islanders!

It tells you something. You have to have zone time to get those shots and the Islanders had plenty of zone time.

Loss =/= a badly played game. Sometimes I feel like you don't watch hockey because you always seem to equate a negative result with poor play (for players as well).

Ah, ok. He hasn't had the jump he had earlier in the season.

It isn't excuses Stump. He doesn't have any acceleration anymore. That's a pretty good indicator he is sick.

With this win The Islanders are 11-5-1 on the Road, only 4 NHL teams have a better record on the road.

I blame Tavares' linemates for his poor play (mostly Boyes). We've seen that JT and Moulson can play well together, but there is just absolutely no chemistry with Boyes. Tavares is trying to do everything himself, its pretty clear. Crappy needs to do something immediately.

With that being said, I can't wait for the "Tavares is so overrated" thread to show up next. That one should be more entertaining than the Nabokov one.

We do need a goalie, but who's out there?

A SOG from the boards and from the point with no one in front of the net or crashing the net is pretty meaningless. A NHL goalie will stop that 99% of the time. We had alot of those shots in the Penguins game, those are the types of shots a defense will gladly allow. SOG tell so little about a game.

They played for 35 min against the Pens than the 5 min power play with 2 min of 5 on 3 was an embarrassment. The final 20 looked like an NHL team versus an AHL team. The score was close but the game was not.

Maybe. But i don't know about it being a sickness unless he himself has said that. I put my money on him just being burnt out. Mentally and physically. Can't get back in his rhythm and can't find the energy to do it. Probably a new woman in his life lol.

Lazy? He's completing more hits then he ever has in his career. I've watched too many other Islanders supposed #1 centers to ever say the league's second-leading goal scorer is playing like "crap."

Nabby 17-11-3. Backups 0-5-0. I've never seen this discrepancy ever in the crease.

Ugly win and Nabby saved us again.

That juicy rebound on the power play was all his hard work right? I love the guy, but he is playing like crap (ie very badly) right now. This is when we need him most.

EDIT: And I have noticed a few hits. That is a pleasant surprise. But still his line gets scored on constantly and just because his wingers are pathetic doesn't me he should get away with none of the blame. Even homer Butch called all 3 of them out in the 3rd.

EDIT: And now he is calling himself out

I think they need to give him a rest. They also need to decrease the ice time for that entire line if they keep it together.

And what the heck, just please put Lee on the line tomorrow night and be done with it. Yeah, I said it. Throw some solid read meat on the unit and let it go.
