That was much less of a return for Jagr than I expected. Especially when trash like Gaustad fetched a #1 last year at the deadline.

Daly isn't playing hockey anymore. He wanted to focus on his "education" and I do not believe he's bill's son.

Pominville is a legit top line player and still has a extra year on his contract. Don't expect anything less then a 1st, a roster player and a solid prospect going the other way.

I might be wrong but that's the price I think it'll take for Regehr to move his captain.

Exactly my point

Boston gave away 3 prospects who have no shot at cracking their roster for Jagr... wich is the equivalent of the 3 "prospects" I posted I guess.

The 1st is off-limits for me. We won't have a pick for 2 years if we move it, and we aren't exactly cup contenders...

We might draft another Tedenby with our 1st. Drafting isn't a precise science but adding a proven top 3 forward is.

I wouldn't move our 1st, in a package deal of course, for anything short of a top line forward or a 1st pairing d-men.

Pominville would be as close to a Parise replacement as we can get. Even when taking into account this Summer's UFA market I think.

True, but I do trust in our team's scouts and such, Devils have proven to be good drafters most of the time. Not always, but most.

Now if a 1st does go for Pominville, without giving the rest of the farm and anyone higher than Henrique, then I'm fine with it. I'm just worried it would take more than this team can offer. (With our future in mind)

Frazee + Corrente for Pominville, e5.

I would run the streets of Newark naked before our next game, if this trade went down.

It would never go threw... plus Bettman would take away our 1st in the upcoming draft for going against the CBA.

Rule #154
The only team that can rob someone blind is the Pittsburgh Penguins cause TV ratings are always on the mind of people running the league and we all know that everyone wants to see Crosby and company.

Yes but doesn't Section 2A of the "Bettman's a Con" rules state that Rule #154 is not considered in play when Crosby is injured?

This is our chance! Do it Lou!

I shall grace Newark with my beautifully naked presence!

If we land pominville we have a chance to compete with good teams. If we don't we have 0 chance.

It makes perfect sense. It'll free them up to trade Miller and Myers.

If we don't move a d-men before the deadline, I will be irrate. Players who are on the same level as Tallinder are landing 2nd round picks.

It would make absolutely ZERO sense to keep all those assets on our blueline... I'd go a little further and say it would make "negative" sense.

While Tallinder may be on the same level as guys like Jordan Leopold, he has an extra year on his contract at $3 million. This will most likely deter teams interested with the cap going down next season. Most teams are looking for rentals at this point, not players who will be on the books past this year.

Certain teams are looking to add players with contracts past the 2013 season, like Dallas who moved a pending UFA in Ryder for Cole, who's on the books for the next 2 years.

It's not as if Tallinder's contract is crippling. If a team has 3 or 4 players on the books for next year, it doesn't do anything but reinforce their lineup for the 2013/14 campaign.

I'm totally cool with keeping Tallinder if Volchenkov is toast this Summer.
