Pretty much. Smart, good skaters, two way centers, untapped offensive talent yet to be seen at the NHL level, former 1st round picks. They're pretty much the same player.

Not bad enough for me not to want him.

20 pts in 35 games for Min this year. He'd be tied for third in points on the Devils.

I keep seeing Stafford is drawing interest on the bottom line of SN. Wonder if Lou has inquired

Ask Rhodes about this guy.
He is 6'1 180 lbs. 21 years old and has tremendous offensive potential. Sounds like a number 1 center for years to come.

Pominville would be amazing especially with 1 year left! Tallinder (fills Reghr's spot) JJ & Pick?

as someone else has said, we already have one of these anyways and Josefson was rated a B compared to Burmistrov a C.

I don't care if Luongo goes to another team out west or a team that we don't have to play again this year in the east. Our record against him since he's been with the Canucks starts with a big fat 0 despite only playing him once a year. He's also the stereotypical goaltender our team has big trouble scoring on.
Don't we have trouble scoring on all types of goaltenders???....said three weeks ago we will do nothing of significance and we will have to accept it with a smile. Personally I think this team needs an overhaul. We have some good young talent coming up its time we used it and cleared out some dead weight. I agree with those who say we should explore moving Clarkson especially if we know his UFA # is going to be higher than we are willing to go. This isnt like last year where the team really felt they could make a playoff run and kept Zach. Boston and Pitts are beasts would take a major miracle to beat one let alone both.

Would gladly take burmi. He's the right kind of player we should be targeting. **** rentals we need a youth movement with guys like patty gettin older. Need speed and youth. Won't immediately help us but that's what we need to do if we wanna be relevant in the coming years. Would love someone like pominville also bc he's in his prime but no old rentals or 30+ year old 3rd liners please.

Being injury prone means he is consistently getting injured. Devils players dont work under the banner of consistency so that shouldnt be a problem if he comes here.

im kinda tired of seeing defensive breakdowns, I thought that would have been fixed by now. I don't want to get rid of anyone on our team. Prospects only and definitely not Bouche

I would too, but what are you giving up? Winnipeg won't give him away for free, and even if the cost is only a 2nd rounder, I'd rather use it somewhere else.

The Devils don't need Burmistrov. They have enough tweener forwards. Josefson is essentially a Burmi clone. The guy would be nice to have, but not at the expense of anything valuable.

I can see Burmi going to a team like Detroit, and fitting in well on their third or fourth line. Or a team that is in full scale rebuild, like Calgary, and getting top six minutes.

Side note Boucher & Merrill are looking good in Albany... Thinking Lou might just be waiting for them and we're done?

So Kipper in Calgary decided he's not going anywhere and will probably retire at the end of the season.

They're saying on SportsNet that it's confirmed Kipper refuses a trade.

I like Burmistrov. Would rather have Pominville but he'd be astronomically expensive. Unless the Sabres want a roster player we can actually part with, I don't think we'd be able to get him.
