The Flyers at the deadline?

What will they do, if anything?

I personally would like to see them get a legit puck mover/PP QB on the back end either before tomorrow or in the off-season as that's their glaring need. Do they have any options or anything worth trading (minus the untouchables - the Schenns, Giroux, Couturier)

I could be wrong but I see them making a blockbuster trade, maybe something centered around yandle. Can't see homer not doing anything

If the Flyers 1st is available, if you still have it, we may have a decent PMD available for you. We have a glut of D right now, especially young PMDs.

i foresee homer doing nothing for the first time in a while

yeah i said it

big pieces are gone and we're depleted (roster players and trade bait), trade deadline wont mean much to us

I see a depth move. Someone like Boyd Gordon, and then re-signing him for 3-4 years hopefully at a good number. We could really use his faceoff % in our bottom 6.

Plus we're the Kings, and since about 90% of our trades are with Philly, it's pretty much a lock.

Considering it's likely to be a pretty high 1st rounder in a pretty deep draft, that better be one hell of a PMD that's available.

Flyers would probably like a Top 4 offensive guy in return for Laughton (not saying that's what his value is, but maybe a package with Laughton as the centerpiece could work)

I just hope Homer doesn't do anything silly like trading our 1st. I'd be interested in Yandle, but if we get a top 3 pick it I'd hate to see us without a 1st.

I would be in favour of this kind of deal. Keep it simple and all moves are with NEXT year in mind.

PS. I just wish that they didn't have these injuries because now they are now even sellers. Anyone want Knuble?

I concur.

I like Yandle, but that pick could end up being pretty damn high. This is the year to hang onto it, me thinks. If it ends up being lower, you can always use it in trade in the offseason.

Yea, I'm thinking they won't trade either one of those guys for obvious reasons, and no one else they can offer is worth that pick at this point. I don't see a match there for our 1st rounder.

only way Homer doesn't so anything is if he's shut in a room without a method of contacting the outside world until the deadline's past.

Anyone got an empty panic room we can throw Homer in for the next 24 hours?

Flyers won't be selling only because they don't have the depth, and I think finishing the season on a positive note would be best for the young core. Confidence is a big issue and to have these kids finish strong would help their development over the summer and into next year (Couturier, Schenns, etc.).

As Dreger said, I wouldn't be surprised if a move is made involving Couturier. Clowe could easily end up a Flyer, too. I just hope Couts and our 1st this year aren't touched...

They'll do nothing. Which is not surprising with the GM being an absolute pillock!

I don't get the Flyers trading for Clowe... seems odd that a team not in the playoffs would move picks and prospects for a vet that is a UFA in 2 months...

I think Hartnell likes the weather too much in Philly to waive his NTC.

That's funny considering the overwhelming sentiment on here from Flyers fans is that Hartnell should do nothing at this deadline considering the Flyers position in the standings and all their injuries (Briere, Talbot, Coburn and Mezaros all likely out for the rest of the season.)
