Need a win just to keep pace with Washington or Carolina... and to keep NYI down.

Well, whatever happens with the rest of this season, I'm looking forward to a normal off season with no talk of lock-outs and a real pre-season build-up to a full regular season. If the Jets can somehow sneak into the playoffs this year, great. But next year its GAME ON MFers!

i hope...

This season has caused a lot of "soul-searching"!!

I kept getting sucked into emotions (Jets score to go up 1-0, "We're a powerhouse"... Other team scores to tie it in the first period, "Ugh, this team can't do anything right").

I'm definitely still remembering how to be a fan of an actual HOME team.

yeah you really have to try and maintain a level head about things. There's really only a handful of teams in the league that are good enough to be truly consistent for long periods of time. The rest of us muddle along in streaks - a few good games here and a few duds there. The challenge from the ownership's perspective is to try and move towards that consistency somehow...

I'm trying to remain hopeful, but the confidence I had in this team a couple of weeks ago has been fleeting as of late.

Positive predictions haven't been working, so why not. 50 VCash on the future Brooklyn Boys.

If the Jets win this game, I will buy a new piece of Jets merch. If they don't, I will probably still buy one, just not as expensive.

Wait, I think that bodes well.

Poulin is a solid young netminder. He has been their backup since they finally ditched DiPietro. Similiar potential to a Pasquale.

Very few starts and his numbers are not impressive at all. Could be the Isles are taking us lightly and figure this is a good opportunity to slip him in. Whatever their motivation, very happy about this.

Yeah, but Jets 1.0 were super consistent, reliable, and I don't recall them ever being a frustrating team to watch...

I doubt it.

Colorado, Nashville, Minesota and Dallas are all either on the downturn or are similar to us being more a team of promise than production.

I think we're better than those 4 teams, although I think St.L and Chi are better than us.

These things are cyclical too. Teams go up and down as time goes.

Alright, let's try this again, shall we?

Steaks on the barby, cold drinks in hand, watching the game on my patio, in my shorts enjoying our short-lived 22C summery weather.

It's almost gametime!

GO JETS GO

I think we're gonna be hard pressed with our current roster to beat out the Wild next year. They finally have a few stars so it will be even easier for them to build depth around that vs what we have to do which is try for 3 #2 style centers.

And Nashville feasts off of beating teams whenever tey don't bring their A game.

But who knows what the rest of this season will bring, let alone next season?
