If I'm the Flames I easily want a first rounder plus a decent prospect or a 2nd/3rd rounder depending on the draft position of the team.

Has a few years left at a really good rate.

You also didn't want the packages you got for Iggy and Bouwmeester.

A first + mid-lvl prospect.

That's it. I'm not greedy.

And no, we don't want Ben Bishop so stop asking.

Meh, Iggy only wanted the Pens, there were no other offers with a 1st for Jbo we got what we could for the old core.

Feaster already identified Glencross as a part of the core moving forward.

Enough of this already.

Youll get a Bouwmeester package AT BEST if you move Glencross.

I wasnt offering Bishop. I seriously want to know what you value him at so we all dont get caught up in this again (like Mtl offered)
We didnt WANT to move Fisher, but we did.

1st + B level prospect or a top prospect.

we know you guys don't want Bishop, but theres a rumor spreading on our board that someone offered a late first for him.

What if there was a three way scenario where we added a b level prospect, along with that first for Glencross, and the rumored team got Bishop, and Calgary just got picks / prospects?

In my opinion we need a top RW prospect.

I'd be willing to take lesser draft pick(s) if it meant securing a Grade A prospect that can replace Iggy, someone in the 19-21 year old range.

His contract & value isn't comparable to Iggy/JBo. Iggy is a UFA with a NMC that tied management's hands with a short list of teams, pure rental. JBo has a ridiculous contract for what he's done.

With Glencross you're looking at a player that will pot you 20-30 goals per year or more and you have him until 2015 at 2.5m/year. Anything less than a 1st rounder isn't fair value, but it's moot since I highly doubt he'd waive his NMC after he took a discount to play here.

As a Canucks fan, I'd pony up a 1st + Sweat for Glenx + 3rd (or you can eat $750k of salary and keep the pick -its not like you need the cap space).

Completely depends on the prospect Ottawa for example

Lehner/Zibenajed/Silfverberg yes 100%

Noesen/Ceci/Puempel maybe probably not straight up

most others need a 1st.

Again he means much off ice than on ice (back to the Bishop thread I would like him but not with Bishop as the center piece of a Glencross trade)

Examples I'd trade him for (in terms of value only).

Rattie + 2nd + 4th

Noesen + 2nd + 3rd

1st + 2nd from a playoff team

If we don't get that kind of value, I don't see the purpose of trading him.

hes one of calgarys most reliable and if i were the flames id keep and rebuild around him. Hes very consistent, and rarely has bad stretches. guys on pace for 30 goals this year and if he didnt have his injury last year he would have also potted 30 goals as well. hes probs one of the most underrated players in the NHL.

if the flames were to deal him though id say he brings back more then what iginla brought. id say a 1st and good prospect/ 2nd

I'd consider Jensen + 1st from a Vancouver perspective.
Rattie + 2nd from St Louis
Silfverberg + 1st from Ottawa

He's pretty much the highest value guy Calgary has on their roster right now, so the return would have to be along these lines or it's not worthwhile to consider moving him. He's pretty much a lock for 20-30 goals each season, plays every PK, plays on the PP, can score 5 on 5, etc. and has a ridiculously good contract. He has games where he looks like he isn't even trying, and then pots 2 goals in the third. That's just how he rolls, it can be frustrating to watch, but there's no denying he can produce on a consistent basis when he wants to.

In this situation, Calgary doesn't want to quit Glencross. Glencross doesn't want to quit Calgary.

1st and better-ish prospect (ie: HF 7.0 or greater rating) might do it, if everyone wants to part ways.

Calgary doesn't want anymore goalies though. Notice I said nothing about need...

Anything more than a first is an overpayment from a Sens POV.
