Colorado-Montreal

With Colorado firmly out of the playoffs picture, what would it cost for Montreal to acquire Jan Hejda? He is exactly the type of dman Montreal needs, minute eating stay at home type.

Would something like Weber and a 2nd do it?

If people thought 2 seconds for the washed up Ds was pricey....just wait until they try and land Hejda at the deadline

A first round pick is where any offers start. He's just another case of the 'what the hell are you thinking' Sacco montage. Guy played with Barrie when EJ was out and they both put up 23+ minutes a night and looked phenomenal together, should be a very good second pairing for us next year.

Then he breaks up the pairing when EJ gets back, sends Barrie down and scratches Hejda.

I know it's Feaster, but Jay-Bo only got a 1st round pick, a conditional one.

Yea it starts with a 1st round pick. He's been better then Murray and Regher for a good 2 years now.

but it's Feaster. Plus teams are getting more desperate. I really don't think Hejda get's moved but if he does it will be based on an overpayment such as a 1st

He also got a higher pick than Montreal's would be and Hejda is signed longer, to a better deal and is worth more to us than a second and some bottom pairing guy. I wouldn't even move him for two seconds unless they were both from 2013 and one was your Calgary pick.

He's simply too valuable to us for next season and he's very affordable for the temporary cap decrease team's will face. Worth more than the low 2nds given up for Regehr or Murray.

I'd prefer to keep Hejda.

It was either a 4th+1st 2013 or a 1st 2014. I'd argue that it's the 4th that's conditional.

What about O'Byrne? He might be a better fit...right side d-man, fits in as our #6 and a pending UFA. Does Colorado intend to try and re-sign him or would they move him for a pick?

I would bring O Byrne & Bordeleau in mtl and would give Weber & 2rd pick.

No it a 1 round pick 2013 if stl make the playoff and if they don't make the playoff it become a 4 round 2013 + 1 round 2014

Habs are in need of a big winger much more than a big dman. with the ridiculous demands for depth lately, i can't see Bergevin making any trades and going forward with what he has.

Hejda is the Avs second best dman, our only proven top 4 guy after EJ, and he showed great understanding with barrie when they two of them got put together while EJ was hurt. I doubt very much Hejda is up for grabs. Our crap dmen are available for peanuts, O'Byrne, Zanon and Hunwick, but not Hejda.

Flames wanted to move Bouw. Colorado would rather keep Hejda, so it's going to take overpayment to get him. I would rather keep him.

Thanks? ROB will be gone soon enough, be it at the deadline or over the summer.

Yeah, if a gm calls Sherman and asks what the price of rob, he may say its a second. If a third is offered you better believe that deal is done before the end of the phone call.

Like to get Tinordi {plus pick} from Montreal - maybe a deal worked around McCleod + Avalanche D not named Hedja, Johnson, Barrie, Siemens. - Thoughts?

would like McLeod, but Tinordi is a need we can't afford to trade.

Tinordi won't be moved, especially not for bums. He fills such a massive need for the Habs going forward. He's valued as a top a prospect, expecially considering he's knocking on the door.
