True, any idea when Kesler is set to return?

I'd be all over Glencross, maybe they'd be interested in Alex Plante and Cam Abney for him?

Jagr IMO would be a great addition and I'd look to re-sign him next season. That man should be able to teach our kids a LOT about what it takes to be an elite player.

They're too embarrassed to even use the word "rebuild." I think a deal with the Oilers, especially for a significant player like that, is out of the question for them.

I personally could see the oilers letting go:

1st Rounder 2013
2nd rounder 2013
Paajarvi
Gagner
Musil / Olivier Roy

For Vanek and pominville

Can you say Cup Contender

Hall - Nuge - Eberle
Vanek - Pominville - Yakupov

What a top 6

holy **** hell no.

We need to dangle HEMSKY for trade bait. We can get something food for him.. add a pick and minor guy like peckham.

If we trade today we got a chance to get the player playing tomorrow

agreed, this isn't our year, though I want the Oilers to make the playoffs of course.

The only thing about Jagr is what I've heard is at this point he's basically looking to make as much money as possible with the remaining time he has left. I don't know if these whispers are true, but he does have a pretty pricey lifestyle and ran up some big gambling debts a few years ago.

One reason he chose Dallas is because there's no state income tax there I think. And that's why he chose Philly over a feel-good reunion in Pittsburgh, because they offered more $$$$.

Not sure if we'd be able to retain him beyond a rental.

I disagree. I think picking up a rental or two would send a message to the team that management wants to go for it.

I definitely don't want to sell though. No to trading Whitney, Jones or Khabby, unless an upgrade is the return.

What a top 6
That wouldn't compete with Vancouver's top 6 of Sedin-Sedin-Kunitz, Burrows-Malkin-Jagr...
Wait... Salary cap mode's on?

Darn....

(so, yeah, my opinion is no.)

Ott would be even better IMO. While Jagr would teach our kids a lot, Ott would be just what the Dr. ordered for our bottom 6.

I'd still be fine moving Whitney, but if we do we need to also add something that can help us now so that management doesn't give the players the idea that we are throwing in the towel.

I wish Tambo would wake up and pull the trigger on something.

It's a buyers market and we are at/near the 50 contract limit. The deals that have gone down so far are in the mold of a few prospects and a pick for a decent roster player. Why not take a chance on something?

Roy would have been a good gamble. Throw him on the third line and Horc on the 4th. Waive Belanger.

Tambo needs to show some life here, that he atleast wants to make the show.

Jagr to Boston

Jagr and his agent Petr Svoboda confirmed that trade for isport.cz. Chara - Jagr connection will be great. They speak same language, etc

Renting would be fine by me. Low taxes here too and he'd get to play with Hemsky, who we know he likes. Obviously we couldn't keep him for next year but I'd love to see a top 6 of

Hall - RNH - Eberle
Paajarvi - Gagner - Yakupov
Jagr - Horcoff - Hemsky

Starting to sound like Jagr to Boston is done, but you never know with the Bruins these days, lol.

I'd love to get Ott. He has a NTC but I think he'd waive to come here.

Jaromir Jagr to Boston. I'm hearing two prospects and a draft pick.

What is frustrating is not that tambo is not doing a deal. It is that he is not doing a deal and other teams are making out like bandits.

Good for Boston, TBH I think that he'll be better for them than Iginla would've been.
