It is a message board. If you're going to chose to "vent" (really? The Hawks are in 1st place ) than you better be prepared to have people attack your ridiculousness.. and in fairness, most of that has been through thought out posts regarding scenarios that would/could explain the lack of movement.

Bowman just commented on how much he thinks of Pirri the other day, and Morin was just recalled. God damn you're on a roll today.

I'm glad the Ignorance Police are keeping this board safe and enjoyable for all!

Pirri needs to figure out where the defensive end of the ice is before he's worthy of time on the big club.

Yep, been saying it for a long time. Just because the Hawks are an offensive team, doesn't mean Q doesn't value two-way play. That's exactly what he wants.. and especially from his centres. If Pirri can't be competent in his own end, he's going to have a hard time getting a shot under Q. Doesn't mean he never will, but he has to improve.

Yeah, tell me about it. Nothing wrong with expressing what you think, no need to get all emotional if you disagree. And as I always say, the results will determine EVERYTHING.

I'm done reading this trivial crap, wake me up when there is a thread with out a bunch of screaming Nancy's.
Hawks fans are some of the most derogatory fans in all of hockey.. They're not satisfied if they're winning or losing.

I used to post on the "official" Chicago Blackhawks boards back in 1996-1997 (or whatever) and they were no different.... I suppose they had a reason back then.

This team (or the last few years) isn't good enough for them then .................

Let's just put it into perspective here. The Hawks were the flipping joke of the NHL between my age of 16-28 - oh with the exception of 01-02 where they got shutout in 3 of 5 games and only managed to score 5? goals and ironically by Q's Blues..

The Hawks this season will finish with more points in 48 games than they did in 82 to land Kane..

This team is only leading the league in points right now - you can't win every game.....

You started a "Fire Bowman" thread because another team made a deal. Who's more emotional?

Lol.

Seriously, when I'm worked up about something having to do with the team or a game or whatever, I don't rant about it to anybody I know. I like to feel instead that I can come to the board and while my rantings might be unpopular, they're not harming anyone and should be understood.

As long as we keep it relatively civil, threads like these are exactly what this board is for.

Even when we hugely disagree, we're all still here to talk (sometimes yell/despair) about hockey.

Spacek was wasted in January that year for nothing.
Then there were the number of subtle trades like picks for guys that would be waived and go on to play a couple hundred NHL games like Brent or Hilbert.

There were many transactions. The volume was large so the bad was overshadowed by some of the hits.

Back to my earlier point, too much credit for trading and too much blame for some of the contracts.
That list is a bunch of meh pieces that haven't hurt the team in the slightest.

Because the Hawks sucked at the time and Vrbata was awesome.. He was everything Samsonov wished he could have been. "Patrick Kane .50" (half no pun) but was the "replacement" for Vrbata...

Vrbata was horrible with us that year. I was one of his biggest supporters.

They were wasted assets in trades. Wasted assets hurt, especially when they were trying to build. Most were forgotten by the time they were competitive.

2 excellent trades don't make him excellent overall (to me) when he missed on so many trades and waived so many NHL contributors while managing a team that needed them. I just disagree with the label that he was excellent at trading. Just like I disagree with hammering him too much on the Huet or Campbell contracts.

Sharp was extremely painful to watch for extended periods too, and he was overpaid for quite a while.

Vrbata was a perimeter player with the Hawks and still is. Not missing him at all.

06-07 Hawks were a joke. Many games the team d looked worse than a HS team.

Lets face it, Phoenix is a good fit for him.
