Edmonton-Philadelphia

To Edmonton:
Couturier
Simmonds

To Philly:
Yakupov
Paajarvi

Give or take a couple picks.
Thoughts?

Yakupov will probably end up being the best player of the group, but I'd rather have the Flyers pair.

That's a pretty hefty price to pay. Yakupov obviously has a much higher value

Interesting, but the Flyers need to get a good PMD if they are actually going to trade Couturier. And they need to see where they're drafting before they take on a young forward like Yakupov.

No thanks. I'm interested in Couturier and Simmonds, but adding Paajarvi tips the scales too much

Yak
Simmonds/Couturier

Paajarvi

Why do we do this?

I'd rather keep Yakupov and MPS. I think Yakupov will end up being a lot more valuable than the other 3

No, lets let Yakupov play two full seasons first. Look at how poorly Brayden #1 prospect Schenn did in year one?

Paajarvi has been great this year. Really showing why he was picked 10th.

Yeah, B Schenn is not doing all that well this year, either. But fortunately there's another year left on his ELC.

As it has been said constantly in other threads, Couturier will only be dealt if a good young dman is coming back.

And the Flyers have no interest in moving Simmonds

Value wise I think it's fair, but this doesn't make Philly better.
Adds skill, lessens size and toughness. But neither of those are issues for Philly. They need back end help, of which we have none to spare.

Cool. His value is still not anywhere close to Simmonds or Couturier. Like others have said Simmonds isn't on the table at all and Couturier is only there for defensive help.

the flyers need defense/draft picks and as talented as edmonton's young guys are and as much as i like them, i'm happy with most of our guys. i think the flyers would really have to be blown away by the offer to move couturier or simmonds, let alone both of them in the same trade. idk what edmonton needs but this doesn't fill a need for philly, just makes the team a little younger and gives us two more players we need to develop instead of just sticking with what we already have.

I mean I looked at his stats and they do not look really impressive. Then again I don't watch him play but I mean 10 pts 30 games from someone who is suppose to be a top 6 PWF seems like a bit of a let down.

Edmonton and Philly make bad trading partners. Both need D more than anything.
