SJ signs UFA Eriah Hayes. RW had 20 goals for Minnesota State in senior year. Two-year deal, two-way, not entry level. Too old, 25 in July.

Was just going to post that. Thanks. So to the experts, this is a two-way NHL contract, correct?

And this year (This abbreviated season) is year one of that contract, right?

Yes.

Only if he plays. Could start in the fall.

Never see so many people excited to sign an undrafted guy.

Hayes is considered one of the top 10 in the country for college free agnets. That could be why, also he's a winger which we can use.

The Sharks could sign anybody for their prospect pool and it'd be exciting at this point

are there enough people in the group for it to be called a prospect pool?

Our prospect pool should be called "the 5th year".

Half of our defense last night were college free agents. Then you add Braun was an overager drafted in the 7th round.

Scouts doing a good job then? That's the impression I get.

I'm sure if we thought about it we could assemble a pretty decent team of undrafted NHL players.

Edit: Duh, one of my favorite players...Adam Oates.

Don't forget Martin St. Louis! (Or Chris Kunitz or Curtis Glencross)

It was, but that's the same as asking about left handed free agents. An undrafted player is an undrafted player.
