I think SJ didnt do too badly on the return.
Don't act high and mighty, everyone was looking at it from the perspective of getting a SIGNED Clowe. In other words, your offer still should be scorned

Not likely. We haven't scored on MAF since Vic Hadfield was on the team

One thing you are forgetting. If the Rangers don't make playoffs those 2nd rounders could end up being very high.

What a horrible trade for Sather - SJ fans couldn't wait to get rid of him.

Doesn't surprise me, Clowe hates certain canuck players.

pretty sure draft lottery only affects first round.. and the chances of any team winning it outside the top 10 are miniscule.

So the Sharks draft this year with their trades so far:

2013
Sharks 1st
Sharks 2nd
Penguins 2nd
Rangers 2nd
Panthers 3rd
Sharks 4th
Sharks 5th
Sharks 6th
Sharks 7th
Ducks 7th

2014
Sharks 1st
Sharks 2nd
Penguins 2nd (3rd if Murray doesn’t resign or they don’t make ECF)
Rangers 2nd (5th if Clowe doesn’t resign or they don’t make ECF)
Sharks 3rd
Sharks 4th
Sharks 5th
Sharks 6th

well hopefully we can improve our ****** prospect pool this year... Also Sharks fans now rooting for a Penguins-Rangers Final lmao

The Rangers would be one of the last teams I would want to play for, its where offensive gifted players go to die. Hell I would want a trade to Columbus first.

The Rangers plan is re-sign Clowe and the 3rd is Floridas, so.... Basically three 2nd round picks for Clowe.

Sather is still running NYR like some country club where overagers choose to retire. Wilson fleeced him here.

Honestly, it's a good trade for both teams. Clowe is going to be a big kick in the ass for NYR and the Sharks desperately needed help rebuilding the prospect pool. I will miss Clowe dearly but this is a solid deal.

And I hope the next person who posts "omg Clowe has zero goals!" gets a papercut.

This is where you are wrong. The Sharks have struggled for long stretches to score goals. I believe they are sitting 28th in goals for.

He isn't scoring? New York is the perfect place for him then.

Are you all surprised the Rangers got/ were going after Clowe? Look at all the Clowe threads anyoud see the Rangers listed as one of the teams in on him.

Clowe doesn't solve the Rangers scoring problems? Cry me a river, who did you want them to get? Pom? Vanek? ¿Jagr?? For the rangers to get somebody to help their scoring they would have to give up 1st for next year and top prospects. For Christ sake you cry if the Rangers trade away a second and one of their FOUR third round draft picks, god for bid they trade away Krieder.

Clowe adds toughness, grit, and life. Most Ranger fans cry about how we would be better if we had a prust or a prust like player.

Why can't both teams win? Rangers get a much needed spark and San Jose gets a second and a third and another second (IF HE RESIGNS)
