Burns on intermission radio interview: felt like the Sharks did a lot of good things, D helped out the offense, good puck movement, it's a daunting place to play in (as a road team) when the crowd is in it...
No? What part of it's ridiculous? He's not going to get a real shot here, and he deserves one.
You don't think he has a grasp on what their chances are?
You don't think he's considered that when coming out and saying that he very much wants to stay here?
Your statement is utterly ridiculous because you presume to think that you know what his priorities are better than he does.
If you want him traded, fine...but don't go justifying it to yourself by pretending that you're doing him a favor in doing so when he's been so vocal in saying he considers SJ his home and doesn't want to go anywhere else.

Remember when boyle almost scored a similar goal after splitting Weber AND Suter the other year? Rinne stopped it though so it is not a highlight reel goal. But you know boyle knew he was gonna try that on Suter again
Consolation interview transcript of Boyle w/ Brodie: play was at the red line, he was gonna pass it back if he didn't like what he saw; got sloppy for a couple shifts; didn't sleep much last night due to deadline; still feels like he has a lot left in the tank and wants to stay in SJ for the rest of his career.
