Who are the buyers, the sellers and who does nothing?

With so many teams so close to a playoff spot, what teams fold or go for it?

What teams should just sell sell sell?

What team will buy big and miss anyway?

I'm hoping the flyers fold. It's stupid to trade picks away for a rental. Especially when we have a chance at Jones

Avalanche will try to sell their ****, but most likely no one wants those parts, so probably nothing for Avalanche.

Definite buyers:
Blues
Pens
Bruins

Definite sellers:
Flames

Potential buyers:
Pretty much everybody

Fact is, there's not many teams out of it and no team sitting a few points out wants to admit defeat.

I just think the price for the players available will be more than they are willing to pay. Not a lot left out there, and its not like they don't have a good shot as it is. Even without any moves Boston is pretty deep. Just one guys opinion

I agree. With Philly and possibly the Rangers out of the picture, Boston must like their chances at a deep playoff run.

The also have plenty of young assets thanks to the Kessel trade, and were already willing to part with a 1st and some prospects.

I think they will pick up Clowe or similar player, and maybe some defensive depth.

They would have paid the price for Iginla. I'm sure they will pay for someone else now. (Of course Iginla is bit more special case)

They could use Zanon/Hunwick/O'Byrne! Some defensive help!

So Marleau/Thornton are all going out? How many years Sharks still have with current core? I feel like Sharks Stanley Cup window is closing year by year.

Yeah, but Rangers aren't really threat at the moment. Not the team to beat anymore with Gaborik/Richards struggling. Of course they have Lundqvist, but he can't score goals.

(Yeyeye I know LA won last year from 8th, but how often It actually happens?)

I see a team just hanging on to 8th place by a game in hand. There is no certainty the Rangers will make it. If they do they could go up against a strong Pittsburgh team in the first. Which I'm sure Boston would like.

Who knows with Thornton and Marleau, not this TD, maybe one of them gone at the draft. But Boyle and Clowe could both be gone tomorrow. And With the draft picks Wilson has acquired, I wouldn't be surprised to see him try and pick up some young players with upside.

Devils probably do nothing, maybe add a top-9 forward.

I wouldn't be surprised if Edmonton did nothing.

All of the Hemsky/Whitney talk is a load a crap IMO.

Really, we're in the race for the playoffs. Why would we want to avoid the playoffs?

I wouldn't be surprised if Tambo stops being stuck on stupid and makes a move or two. Stranger things have happened. But my hopes are slim on the Oilers sneaking in the 8th spot. Maybe I'm just jaded after the **** show these last 5 seasons have been

I see the caps buying.

Any way they pick up a goalie to help push them in?

Luongo for Neuvirth + Johansson + 3rd
Kipprusoff for Neuvirth + Herbert + 4th

Boston does nothing on trade front '13. Adds Soderberg and Daugavins to roster.
