Zagrapan depend too much on the power play to produce imo he's not that good , heck if Corey Locke ( OHL leading scorer for couple years ) wasent pick in the 1st round i find it hard to belive Zagrapan will go in the 1st round .

Sounds an awful lot like Sheldon Souray to me.

If it does, then it's pretty far off, IMO. Souray is a bit of a loose cannon on D... Parent is about as completely opposite to that as I can imagine.

I don't think it says that at all. Souray had 50 points last year, it says Parent doesn't have a lot of offence....

50 points? Damn, last time I checked, he had 35 and that was more than 3 times more then his second best career output. I'll wait and see if he can do it again before calling him an offensive d-man.

I watched some of Staal during the 67's/Wolves series, and I was impressed. If he's still available, I'd be very happy if the Habs pick him up.

The thing with Souray, though, is that you can't really call him a defensive defenseman either. He hits and he's strong, but he gets caught running around. He's not very reliable in his own end, in short. He's a high-risk defenseman, whether he puts up points or not (and last year he finally did, thanks to his great shot from the point mostly, but also due to jumping in more than he used to)... and that's completely the opposite of Parent. Souray will try to kill guys. Parent won't. Souray will drop the gloves. Parent won't. Souray will pinch and succeed, he'll shoot it top shelf on the PP; he'll make bonehead give aways, or get caught making a bad pinch as often as a good one. Parent isn't like that at all. IMO.
