Sure, we'll have to see if he fits in with our group.

At the same time, how will Bishop do on a team without a good defense?
Oh clearly not, but I don't think Tampa got fleeced or anything. Bishop is an excellent puck blocker and Tampa should be able to create a defensive system that works.

Bingo
I was just about the write the same. He got cold ever since he's not a regular on the 1st line with them. I still like the deal though for the Sens. He's still very young and has very good potential.

I like the trade, but I wouldn't call it a steal for the Sens just yet.

Conacher's been great this year and has put up numbers in the AHL and NHL, but he's still relatively unproven. Playing with Stamkos and MSL can inflate a guy's numbers. I'll admit, though, I've only seen him a few times (where he was pretty impressive for a rookie). There's lots of potential there, but a lot of things need to go right for a 5'8 guy to succeed long-term in the NHL.

Let's not forget what a stellar goalie Bish was for us. I wish him the best in Tampa (and the worst when we play him, aha).

No need to determine a winner or a loser immediately. Both teams get something they need; scoring and goaltending.

The Tampa Bay Board seems to not like the trade.

Is Conacher a Centre or Left Winger?

I am far too pessimistic I guess. Excited about the "potential" of this deal, but I will wait and see before getting my hopes up that this trade was a success.

Not being passive agressive, but since Ottawa and Montreal are the 2 teams I watch most, I thought of the Halak trade. I feel we did pretty good in comparison. Of course, no way to know that now.

I only like this trade so much because we don't need Bishop with Andy and Lehner anymore. We got a potential rookie of the year and a fourth for a spare part.

Obviously Bishop is much better than a spare part, though, he just wasn't a need for us. Love the guy. Wish him all the luck in the world.

Good trade, Conacher is a sick player. For a smaller player, he has a very high compete level and is actually pretty chippy and abrasive. He should be a good addition to this team and should make a decent impact offensively.

He's tiny, but his nickname is honey badger. He drives the net and will go to the dirty areas to score.

Good trade for your club, although if Bishop plays to his potential, I don't think it's as one sided as some people think.

Solid hockey trade in which both clubs dealt from a position of strength.

Dude could be awesome... but to see such a drastic drop off is worrying after the start he had from the AHL... as the bigger NHL players got there game together Conacher has faded.

I guess that is the gamble the Bolts are making... thinking he can`t handle NHL players over 82 games with his size.

We took as much as a risk with this deal as the Bolts did... gambling that Bishop is legit enough to be a number one goalie.

Now let's see what Conacher can do without Stamkos and St-Louis by his side

Pens fan coming in peace. Pretty good trade for you guys.

With Michalek's injuries and whatnot how do you guys see the next year or two shaking out in terms of pecking order? You've got Silfverberg, Zibanejad, Turris, now Conacher... tons of young skill. Do you see Silfverberg as your "top skill winger", maybe as ealry as next year? Seen a few of his goals and the velocity on his wrist shot was killer. Is the development of his overall game pointing that direction or does he have a ways to go before he's considered regular 1st line material? In any case you've got some serious options now. Wish you guys the best (as long as you're not playing us). [Adden: I know there's some bad blood because of Karlsson but I've always enjoyed watching the Sens / pull for them against the Leafs, Habs, Flyers, etc. Never like to see that stuff happen to a good player. Anyway, you guys are going to have a pretty scary team going forward potentially. Enjoy the day...]

Cory was easily one of the biggest fan favorites here, and was a real treat to watch. I will continue to root for him (just not against us), and I hope he plays well for you guys.

Any comments on what to expect from Bishop? I really hope he does well here, we need him to.

Exactly. Young players are incredibly inconsistent. He has showed a lot in TB this year, just because the points are coming like they did at the start of the year does not mean he isn't an NHL quality player.
