Like the move, don't like if we added a first. Hope if we did, a second is coming our way at the least. He's only signed for one more year.

#mnwild has acquired Jason Pominville. Larsson and Hackett going the other way. Hear this trade could include high draft picks, too

I'm not. Larsson was a top 60 prospect in the NHL. He was as close to blue chip as possible. You win with guys like Larsson.

Wow. If Larsson turns out to be a 40/50 pt center with strong defensive play and leadership qualities for the next ten years and Pominville doesn't bring us a cup, I am going to be pissed.

Who's gonna be 2nd line center now? Ain't gonna be Granlund.

We're going for it. Maybe now people will understand that this has never been about the future. It's always been about now. The disconnect between winning now and winning later is growing larger by the day.

i'm with Muck...loved Larsson as a prospect--very undervalued and under the radar--but Pom is a legit top sixer now. i would imagine this means we buy out Heater, too, at the end of the season.

Why did we need to make this trade? Really? Are we that panicky that we had to go out and grab another player without letting the chips settle and see where everyone lands?

Depending on the pick, the balance is still there. It's one of the reason's why we've built up the prospect pool.

I'm assuming Pominville will play 1st line mins. We gonna trade anyone else? Where does that put Coyle?
