Yep, he's from St. Thomas Ontario, his best friend is my baseball team. Im asking about him now, just an overall great kid, big frame and great work-ethic. Can't wait to meet him, I'm hoping some free tickets are in my future

Still a damn good trade. Trust me folks , we made out pretty good. Hackett fills a need for future netminder and Larsson will be a freaking stud (I watch the Wild almost as much as I watch the Sabres).

Wild fan here. On the ice, Larsson is like a Swedish version of Mike Richards, and he will most likely reach his potential.

It wouldn't be the first time a deal on TSN's Trade Tracker got updated...

I don't hate the return minus the picks. I'm just hoping for more.

I am sad to see Pommer go but I just about flipped my lid when I heard we nabbed Larsson

Good to hear that they are good kids. I hope they work out for us! I'll miss you Poms. Thank you for everything. It is bittersweet.

Seriously. Solid in all phases, great guy, does whatever is asked of him. Every team wants a Pominville, and every championship team must have a guy like him on the roster.

I don't see who could replace him. But I guess now isn't the time to be safe.

Larsson + Hackett by itself is already a better return that Iginla got.

Anything more is really just icing.

Great job by the NHL to have 99 guys on their 'panels', and can't get confirmation on an hour old trade. Awesome. The NFL must sit around and laugh at Buttman's joke league.

I'm guessing there's a pick swap of some kind involved. Possibly one of our seconds for their first or something like that.

Iginla wanted to go to one team, it's not comparable.

was hoping for a 1st pick to go with the 2 prospects and expecting at least a 2nd rounder.

without any picks this is an underwhelming return for a player who can play on a lot of teams' top line. we did need a goaltending prospect, and it sounds from all sources that Larrson is a can't miss NHLer who tops out as a 2nd line center. For a rebuilding franchise it's fine - just think we could have done better.

Very true. However, Darcy had A LOT more wiggle room in terms of where he could trade Poms than Feaster did with Iggy

This.

I understand most posters on here are unfamiliar with these two but you all will see in due time that its a great trade.

Uh ok?First off Iginla would ONLY accept a trade to the Pens. And Pominville is 5 years younger and a legit top 10 RW like Iginla.Sorry if I'm not jumping up and down because we traded our captain and 65 point 1st line winger for 2 prospects who can be a bust just as much as pan out.I would rather have ****ing kept Pominville and trade him in the summer/next season then this. It'll be fun when it's 2015 before we get any production from trading our 2nd best skater.

Grigs
Hodgson
Larsson

could turn out to be a really great center core.

But we're really running thin on Wingers.

Exactly. But because those two are relatively unknowns the diapers get twisted assuming the worst.
