It is a shortened season with a grinding schedule...Richards has been fine, he will pick it up in the playoffs.

That being said, I hope Carter can get him to work out in the off season.

Holy crow, you're correct as correct can be. That slipped my mind about Calgary being high and dry in net next year.

Makes sense...I doubt they wanted Bernier now. That would sabotage the tank job.

I think they are high on Berra and Ramo.

I doubt DL gets much of anything for Bernier.

The Kings are probably not happy with the way the former first rounder has developed at UND and want to get him under the tutelage of our coaches and playing our system. Which is fine by me. Derek Forbort has size and reach that obviously can't be taught, but he is going to need to make alot of adjustments to be a good 4 or 5 defender in the NHL. So the sooner the better I guess.
That's what I meant by nothing left to learn.....Forbort development was not that great at ND(not bad, but ok).

Again Good for Forbort to get to Manchester.

Don't know why people are so concerned with Forbort, the guy was never going to be some world beater.

Dean's first round picks have sucked, I just accept it now.

Pearson so far is a bright spot, Drew is just a given.

For sure, but IMO, if Lombardi can get an offer that's anywhere close to what Calgary offers for JB (if they do), they trade him to some team NOT in our division going forward.

With a haul like that Pommer to the Kings was never an option, that is a ton

They also signed the goalie from the Blues deal and have another Euro goalie that's coming over next year, so I don't think so, though anything can happen now days.

Rosen already has his notes from Lombardi and is transcribing them now.

I agree. Even looking toward next year, they have $34M committed to their 5 highest paid players, and an unsigned Backstrom, he or an adequate replacement will command a healthy salary.

They're not exactly NHL tested goalies. Believe me, they'll be adding someone in net this offseason.

They have to find a way to get rid of Heatley (buyout?), or they are going to have major trouble with the cap next year

Couldn't fit it into the Cap anyway.

The Kings can't add 9.5 M in Salary for one player, unless significant salary is going the other way.

That Caps trade isn't as exciting as it was made out to be.
