Cant be much to complain about under those circumstances. Toronto also recieves 2 top 9 players back from injury, a good PK D and a team of young players who wont lose their chemistry since there was no drastic change.
Boston lost who now?

First I'm hearing of it. If that's true, it sucks for them and Bergy, but were we to face him we'd have a better chance against them in the playoffs possibly.

I want to hear him too. Tired of listening to these Western Conference GM's.

@RealKyper: Concern in Boston today as a source says #Bruins Patrice Bergeron did indeed suffer a concussion during 2nd period tues nite at TD Garden

And Berg wasn't a bad bottom-pairing defenseman. Leaf fans just expect too much out of #5-6 guys. There's a reason they are 5-6 guys and not top-pairing material. They make mistakes.

Didn't Burke spend his presser last year complaining about stupid rules in the NHL that he didn't like?

Disappointed we couldn't get a vet D to patch the GLARING BLACK HOLE beside Phaneuf. Glad that we didn't make a horrid move that would cost our team for years to come. Miffed that we got a scrub for a 4th.

some people act like you can't even question the moves Leafs make

no need to get all worked up over just wanting to find out more about a player and its ok if they are just a bottom pairing/depth dman

I should be so hard on Berg. He was a top six D-man on a pretty good team.

Maybe I should have said another Komi.

Ah okay.

horrible to hear as this injury has literally screwed him up several times but good news for us if we were to face this today as playoffs start.

Just wait, Nonis got fired from VAN. because of his inability to both make the playoffs (missed 2/3yrs) and make the moves to make the team better. He did a couple things and thats that helped and thats it.

This is Burkies team, Nonis has no balls.

Exactly. Even if we don't play them, better for us if another team knocks them out.

Who would you expect to get for a 4th?

And what D-man that moved in the past few days would fill the "glaring black hole" beside Phaneuf?

We all now see what players moved. Who would you have tried to get and for what price?

So Pittsburgh gave up two seconds to get Murray and the Leafs gave up a 4th to get O'Bryne.

Is there a difference between the two? Sounds like the Leafs did okay for what they got.

needs can be assessed in the offseason, let this current team run its course and show management what they have, then deal with it when prices arent as high.

This is when reputation takes you a long way, O'Bryne has been statistically better (marginally) playing for a worse team

With Bergeron down ... Leafs are looking like legitimate threats in East.

Today must have been a huge confidence booster for Reimer! By standing pat Nonis basically told Reimer "We don't need no stinking Luongo, we have our #1 already"!!
