#CBJ emphatic Gaborik did not need to be persuaded to waive his no-trade clause. "It was quick," POHOP John Davidson said. "He's excited."

I'm neutral.

I am not a fan of that Colorado guy at all. He has been brutal on every team he plays for. I am not too sure if I'd change the current chemistry for a 7th D-man. Liles-Kostka and Fraser-Franson are finding their game.

I am fine as long as he doesn't play. Nothing really warrants that he is better than the 6 d-men that leafs dressed the last game.

For what? When you're sitting with the 4th most points in the conference, you don't just subtract from your team. As much as I don't like Bozak, I would not want him to just be traded for a pick. That would weaken our team.

I feel great about this TD. Out of all of the players move, there are none that jump out as ones that I really wish we had landed (especially at the prices some of them got). O'Byrne is a solid depth defenseman who should provide a physical, stabilizing presence on that 2nd pairing, allowing Liles/Gardiner to utilize their offense a little more freely. And for a 4th round pick it comes at a great price.

As to the goaltending situation, I'm more than comfortable with a Reimer/Scrivens tandem down the stretch. Reimer's 13-4-4 with a 2.52 GAA and .920 SV% and Scrivens has put up similar numbers (though not as good a record). Kipper would have added a nice veteran presence, but I wouldn't really call him much of an upgrade at this point in his career. And in no way would I have wanted to take on that Luongo contract, especially since his numbers aren't great, even playing on a team that's better defensively than us.

Stop getting your hopes up, Nonis delayed the press conference because he has an upset stomach and had to take a big ****, not because we are in on a secret trade

How weird is this? Leonsis is making a show about the trade.

Is this for real? Am I dreaming?

Losing Bergeron is enormous for the Bruins. He always killed us too.

One of theories floated....Wash has trades Filip Forsberg. If that's the case...return must be huge.

I`m guessing he`s insurance in case someone goes down and so we don`t have to call up Holzer.

It's been known for years what this team needs. Yet, our GM's continue to let us down. They don't make the necessary moves to help improve our club. No one expected us to make a push for the playoffs this year but we are, it would be nice to get a show of support from management by adding the necessary pieces to make our club that much more competive.

Signed,

Dissapointed Leaf Fan since 1988

The people who wanted a big trade and big moves claim those that wanted to stand pat have no faith in this team, yet they claim we'll be killed in the first round. Who has no faith in this team?

And MTL really doesn't scare anyone.

Additionally I nver thought the day would come that I would be more optimistic than Leaf Rocket!!!!
I would call Chara their most important player but losing Bergeron is still a huge loss.
