columbus did pretty well in the numbers game vs. anaheim. they also were missing anisimov. they look like a good contender for dark horse in the playoffs for sure.

the kings are posting some pretty amazing numbers though in terms of fenwick and other hockey analysis. our top guy is posting less than half the HART their top guy is.

I rather CBJ wins tonight and the Blues lose in reg and gets the 7th seed over the Blues. I think the Blues have a better chance of upsetting the Hawks than CBJ or Det.

CBJ's record against Chicago is meaningless. All of those games took place pre-Gaborik. CBJ is a much different team after the deadline.

I don't see the CBJ passing the Blues, they've got way too many games in hand.

A good link someone on the CBJ board found:

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=9731

Dallas might be more of a problem than Detroit.

Why not? You can pass the Blues for the 7th as early as tonight if they lose in regulation and you win. They only have one game in hand against you.

They do have an easier schedule though.

Did Nabby just give up 2 goals on two shots?

so do we want detroit or columbus to make it in? or do we somehow want a situation of detroit and cbj rather than st. louis and cbj.

i guess its a matter of do we want chicago or...x if we make it past the first round?

I don't really care. I don't see either team beating Chicago.

yea it does seem like wed be destined for a chicago second round if we made it that far.

for what its worth i think we can beat the kings in 7, but stats clearly say otherwise.

Good thing games aren't played on paper. Still got work to do to even get in.

Blues have 2 games in hand of Columbus and an easier schedule with 5 of 6 games on home ice.

That Phx STL game is starting to get really chipping. I think Backes and Hanzal will get phone calls from Shanahan

Edit: Pietrangelo too. He slapped Hanzal in the leg Vlasic-like after Vrbata scored.

Sobotka was hit from behind flying head first to the boards: no call. Backes hits a PHX-player similarly but clean: 2 min. PHX play 6 vs 4 and Pietrangelo blatantly gets hit from behind and no call, seconds later PHX ties it. Refs are just terrible.

Edit: Blues win! Refs can go and fu** themselves.

I don't know who I want to root for in this Dallas/St. Louis game. Do I want the Sharks to fall to 6th/7th and avoid the Kings, or do I want them to get home ice and probably face the Kings?

Hmmmm... I'd rather not face the Kings, I guess. The Blues are up 1-0 already.
