We currently have a 3rd line that is not only capable of generating scoring chances, but can actually score goals. Who knew such a thing could exist in Rangerland? And it enables Miller and Kreider to continue their development in Hartford where they belong.

Lack of depth has been an issue since the offseason and I'm glad the Rangers addressed this glaring need. Still not a perfect roster by any stretch of the imagination but a step in the right direction at least. Though it really is remarkable how much our roster has changed since the ECF run less than a year ago. But the Rangers don't really build teams in a conventional manner so it isn't all that surprising.

Honestly, it seems like we are now right back where we were last year. Clowe an upgraded Dubi, Brassard as our AA, Dorsett replacing Prust?.. Only difference is we have a competent #5/6 dman (#6 when Staal is back) and we got Nash instead of Gaborik. I think we're still some scoring away, but closer than we were early on this year.

Likely the most satisfying win so far..

The new guys did good to Great and while zuke didn't get a point he was making plays and showing up..

I agree. I don't wanna derail. But at the same time, I feel that Nash is way more valuable in the way we need him; big powerful man with a scary shot and moves... If we get a lite version of him (I'm not banking on Miller or Kreider being ready for the 82 game grind), I think we are closer than we were earlier. We have some D now too in Moore, I saw some stuff I liked regarding his play. I loved Clowe's work tonight and Brassard interested me. I like it.

So true, good points. Though after one game I'm not convinced of anything, and one more injury could throw it all off.

And the really nice thing is, the opposition has to figure out the new New York Rangers, i.e. scoring is spread out.

I totally hope that Tortorella tries to leave lines alone for a while. Quit the juggling, what the **** is he hoping to achieve? It is obvious that he does not know.

No one needs to eat crow for Bryaonr. Deflection from Richie's bomb, assists that weren't instrumental.

I am convinced that some people will find a way to complain even if we win a Cup in the future.

RIDDLE:

When is a deflection goal not a deflection goal?

When it's scored by Brian Boyle.

Well...Torts has been clamoring for "the middle of the lineup" all season long.

Looks like Glen went out and got it for him. No excuses now, Torts.

I've already learned that his hits and blocked shots don't count the same as other players.

Can't wait till Bard comes in to tell us all that he was at the game tonight and Boyle was actually terrible.

Are we all Rangers fans here? We share something in common? Can we at least pretend to like each other?

Just calling it like it is, I know you have a hard time doing that. Like the Jason Pierre Paul thing, you still can't admit you were wrong ! Let it go Jon, let it go....

And also, I don't think anybody is saying this game shows we made the right moves (though to be fair I wasn't around in the GDT so I don't know.) All anybody is doing is being happy the New York Rangers dominated the Pittsburgh Penguins.

We play our best game of the season, a 6-1 win over the #1 Pens, and that's when everybody decides to turn this place into a warzone?

Having watched the whole season obviously a win like this is great but I'm not convinced. Keep this going and I'll be a believer again. Great seeing Richie score and hopefully Zuke pots one soon. Also great seeing our D score 2 goals. Everyone seems to have great first or second games for the Rangers. Remember Miller's 2 goals?
