21st in the league through today, with 71. below league average.

edit: better than league average, whatever you want to say. league average in strikeouts is 76.

In hindsight we could have started Dubront on thursday and Aceves could have been rained out thus maybe we win the O's series would have been nice.

Wait a few more starts or can we now say Lester is back?

it's still pretty early. barry zito and jake westbrook haven't given up a run yet.

When's the last time Zito or Westbrook were good though? Lester just had one bad season and is now pitching well again.

Cause Aceves was the reason they lost that game right? He pitched well enough. They lost cause Mortensen was allowed to pitch to the heart of the Orioles order in his 2nd inning of work instead of Uehara.

what i mean is that both of them are ****** and haven't given up any runs. let's move past the first two weeks of the season.

lester does look better but it's small sample size right now.

No not at all but If Dubront goes 6 or 7 Mortenson does not have to pitch, Aceves did fine but he had the 75 pitch limit.

Yeah I doubt they would've been able to unload Beckett or Crawford without the huge assist from LA. They probably could've gotten rid of Gonzo.

And we got two young stud pitchers in that deal. That was a win any way you look at it.

kenny albert is pretty underrated i think.

i think verducci just likes the sound of his own voice.

he is indeed.

he coasts on "the verducci effect" which you can read about here:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...ect/index.html

which has been debunked for many reasons by people with brains. russell carleton tore it apart a few months ago.

WMB listed his favorite movie as The Natural.

I'll go buy his jersey now.

Hit to any other part of the park and that's a grand slam. So close.
