Well **** was going south and Tommy could have taken a few big runs at the Wild but he didn't and wasn't physically engaged at all last night.

Maybe he's still hurting from getting worked over by that bully Taco Torrey?

Yeah I was at the game last night and frankly was not impressed with our lack of response to that crap, especially when Rupp was taking runs at Logan. It felt like they were being bullied the whole game. Vlasic's ragefest at the end was the only response I ever saw.

I kept waiting for someone to step up and do something. I kept thinking no way that stuff would have kept happening if Clowe or Murray were still around. Clowe would have lost his mind at the end of the game.

Hopefully Torres can help out.

To be fair, that was on the PP and Wingels was on the bench. Wingels really wasn't too physically engaged last night though, I'll agree.

As a side note, it was funny at the end of that scrum when the linesman got punched and he and Marleau were laughing about it.

You can see the Ref raises his arm after Vlasic's X-chk and 1st slash. If Heater skates away, his team has a better chance. Shouldn't hack at Pickles, he hurt his team and I hope he recovers fully very soon.

Who's ready for a conspiracy theory?

Last nights game was on NBCSN on what they are billing as "Rivalry Night". Small problem was that before last nights game I don't think either fan base would say there was a rivalry between the Sharks and Wild. Knowing this the league told both teams to step it up and get a little nasty. Only problem was... the line got crossed with Heatley and Vlasic.

This is why you won't see any suspensions and only a possibility of fines

Just re-watching the game on CSNCA, middle of 3rd period, the Marleau-Faulk net-front battle was epic -- leading up to an uncalled Suter crosscheck and then the Galiardi goal.

1st regular season game I've ever rewatched, and it's great.

Haha, yeah. In the postgame interview yesterday, someone asked him if yesterday's goal was the best goal of his career. He said it's up there, but his favorite was the one against Burns.
Glad someone found it.

My favorite part of the Marleau scrum was him acting all vicious against the Wild players, but then he just smiles and laughs with the referee.

Final scrum was epic!

Parise on top of Stuart after a crosscheck, Stuart previously slashed Heatley, Vlasic and Heatley broadswording each other before Vlasic lands on top of Heatley, Burish and Koivu bashing and smashing in the mix, and all the while Drew yelling: "It's Mayhem! It's Mayhem! That was vicious!"

Brodziak and Konopka are gonna be beasts in the rematch.

Edit: maybe there should be a new penalty called "broadswording"? Just a thought.
