The first slash by Pickles, after the crosscheck, was it a butt slap or ankle chop? Either way, it's just one of the least preferable ways I want to see someone get hurt. Falls happen, so I'd be more okay with that.

Pickles cross-checks Heater down in front and gives him a stick slap on the butt, Heater turns and takes a big whiff at Vlasic's wrists, and Vlasic responds without missing. Heater, even after the hack that hit, still went after Vlasic and then fell and Pickles rag-dolled him.
Haha Vlasic? Thanks for the info. Also, obviously hope Heater is okay.

Vlasic in interview: "He slashed me, I just wanted to slash him back. He missed and I got him. I wasn't trying to hurt him, just trying to slash him. He's gonna push me around, I'm gonna stick up for myself, you know? I'm not gonna just let anybody push me around like that."

He does't do the 2nd slash until he saw Heatley was turning toward him as he was getting up. Anyone with half a brain knows you are about to get into a fight when that happens. Might as well swing first.

Back to the game analysis. Best thing about this win streak is the TOI distribution across the boards. Forwards and defense.

Lack of PKs is part of it but nonetheless, should pay dividends down the road. What a Jeckyl and Hyde season.

Just stupid and I hope Heatley gets back soon, even if everyone dislikes the guy.
No one dislikes Heatley but he swung his stick at Vlasic first and missed.

It's tough to tell with the angle but it looked like an open stick slap as opposed to getting him with the bottom end so whatever gets hit is not going to get hurt. It's definitely the last fall that Heater had when Vlasic rag-dolled him. His wrist got underneath his body and rolled it.

Somebody needs to put Vlasic in this one for fist of the north star.

Anyone know why the standings show the Canucks ahead of us when we have the same record? Is it because they have more ROW's than us? Or goals?

Poor guy. Really hope he's not hurt.
He took a few whacks at Vlasic. He is not completely innocent in this. Looks like he will be out a while... too bad. Never good to see a player get hurt.

Yes, it's the ROW. It's the first tiebreaker after games played.

ROW's. With all of our Shootout wins we will not win and OT losses, we will probably not win any ties in the standing at the end of the year.

On second thought, I think Vlasic was essentially trying to "spank" Heatley; a sign of dominance.

Ya. I'm just not gonna hold my breath. It seems the only awards West coast guys win is non-objective awards like Art Ross or Rocket Richard.

If Vlasic is suspended, Heatley should be too. Both were playing dirty. Heatley got unlucky.

You'd have to suspend heater as well. His swing and a wiff was no effing joke. He put some muscle into it. Sorry to see heater get injured but if you take a swing like that at someone, you better be ready for what's coming back your way.
