So Coach said that Buff would be with Ladd-Little; Santorelli will start out on the RW; and Gagnon will start at Centre (4th line) but could move up.

So....likely

Kane - Jokinen - Wheeler
Ladd - Little - Buff
Tangradi - Burmi - Santorelli
Thorburn - Gagnon - Mittens

Can't see that fourth line playing much. Top three lines look fine.

Yo this point I'd say the results are pretty mixed.
Kane is 21 as well and averaging more ice-time than all other Jets forwards, 20:38 per game.

Bogo is 22, and getting 23:18 per game. Zach Redmond is 24, and is trusted with 19:34 per game. James Wright is 23, comes in here from nowhere even, and gets 11:28 per game.

Little and Pavelec are only 25. Wheeler 26.

All these guys are young, IMHO. They're below the NHL average age. So from that I'd say Noel doesn't have any unusual trust issues with young players. If trust issues have developed between Burmi and Noel...it takes two to tango.

If Wright is ready I would put him on the third line, move Tangradi to the fourth, and have Mittens watch from the press box until he is ready to play with some grit and determination.

Bout time.

What do we think D-pairs look like?

Enstrom - Bogo
Hainsey - Clitsome
Stuart - Postma

My guess. Pending the return of Stuart and Clitsome of course.

I actually like the looks of the top 3. The third line is interesting: speed, finesse, some crashing ability, and three guys that have potential to put the pick in the back of the net.

It doesn't feel like it, but Kane and Burmi are 2 months apart in age.

I have no faith in anything until Mittens gets removed from the lineup. Buff vs Emelin will be my focal point tonight. Good stuff. 6-1 Habs. Hainsey somehow +1

I read that the last time the Jets won in Montreal it was March of 1985..... Not sure if that's true but if it is, ouch.

The smiley he posted means he's being sarcastic. You replied to him as if he was serious.

I don't know if you missed the joke or you're just intentionally using any excuse to take a dump on this team.

How long was Redmond an AHL allstar who was in game shape sat in the press box by Noel while a rusty Clitsome made mistake after mistake at the beginning of the year? My point wasn't that he doesn't trust them but that it takes him awhile to trust them and that he should give young players more of a benefit right off the bat instead of making them jump through hoops

The other players that you have mentioned already had track records prior to Noel getting here and as such I don't include them in my definition of younger players. My issue is with his handling of the first and 2nd year players who in my opinion need to be granted more of a leash and trust as they try to establish themselves.

Squeezing a water bottle level of excitement. As in not too excited, but excited enough to grasp a water bottle tighter than it would normally be held.

We need some sort of spark that's for sure.

Looking into the future, what could things look like if Wright, Slater, and Peluso get healthy really quick, AND Noel keeps Buff up front?

Kane - Jokinen - Wheeler
Ladd - Little - Buff
Wright- Burmi - Santorelli
Thorburn - Slater - Peluso
Tangradi

Are you sure that's water in that bottle? He got over that depression so fast!
Probably just a typical Jets fan, I guess...

Not much to be excited about. Like the boys said on 1290 this morning, we have the worst top line in the NHL. I sure hope Chevy retools at the draft. Maybe the Jets should have bought a Ford?

I could fall in love with that.

Before Buff signed his big contract I would start lactating just at the thought of him being a forward in our lineup. Now I know he's not a $5 million forward, but I find myself getting that good old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.

Sorry that was dumb and dumber, got a little off track.

But yes I like the possibility of those lines.
