So far so good. Both Phoenix and Edmonton are down 1-0 after the 1st. We can only hope that they both lose, hopefully this isn't a jinx post.

The Wings won't make it if the leaders don't step up. Zetterberg needs to start putting points up. Franzen (for the love of god!!!) needs to start putting points up. Filppula needs to put points up. Brunner needs to put points up! It makes me sick to my stomach seeing this team lean on Abdelkader, and the occasional one mans Datsyuk show. This team is FAR too deep and FAR talented to be playing this flat and scoring so few goals. I can't believe my eyes when I watch this team play.

Huge night for us. Have to hope LA takes down the Stars tomorrow now.

I've been reading this board for a while, but just recently joined. Anyways, here is a website I think is interesting:

Coyotes are 3 points behind us.
Stars, Oilers and BJs 4 points behind us, Stars game in hand.
Preds 5 points behind us, we have game in head on them and we play them twice.
Looks good, but looks like we will have to play the Hawks. Looks no good.

Still three points up on the 9th seed. Thursday is a much needed win, not to mention that San Jose is played the night before, we have to capitalize.

-------------------------------------
.9. Dallas....... 0.513 ~49p (-1p) (0.474H, 0.553A)
10. Edmonton.. 0.510 ~49p (+4p) (0.588H, 0.432A)
11. Phoenix.... 0.502 ~48p (+5p) (0.643H, 0.361A)

The west is really cutting in half. Playoff-teams and non-playoff teams.

Hopefully Dallas takes advantage of that game in hand.

Yep, it's the least they can do. If we win on Thursday and the Stars lose tomorrow I'm feeling pretty confident about our chances.

Yeah, we can always be happy that the bottom 7 teams aren't exactly doing fantastic either. I think Phoenix scares me the most, they've been very inconsistent this season, but I think they have the highest gear out of our closest competitors for the 8th spot.

Problem tonight is that Edmonton plays Phoenix... One of them is guaranteed 2 points. Why that accursed Meteor never wins a game I will never know. I could sure use a Meteor victory.

With our luck it will be a 3 point game, but not a shootout. One of them will get a ROW.

Brunner is good to go for Thursday.
Looks like Babcock is going to try Datsyuk, Franzen, Filppula, Andersson up the middle. Pretty interesting.

We know Fil can be a good 3rd line center when he wants to. He had better play like he wants that money this summer.

Put Tatar in Miller's spot and move Miller onto the fourth line and I'd really like it. still, it's about time Babcock did something about the third line center spot. Andersson's tried, but he's not "there" yet.

Exactly what I thought. Andersson wasn't overwhelmed but he wasn't effective as a 3C either. In the 4th slot he should be more than fine. Our top nine as a whole wasn't working, so try something new.

I thought Andersson best games were when he played with Tatar, if I remember right.

Andersson hasn't been able to generate much but he also hasn't made any glaring mistakes. I think this year has been good experience for him and expect a lot of improvement next year. And he did seem better when playing with Tatar

That's because Andersson is just a bigger version of Emmerton without Tatar (and their GR chemistry) on his wing.

I'm fine with Andersson, because he doesn't make too many mistakes, but he belongs in the "dime-a-dozen" category.

Dammit, 3-1 Stars 1/2 way through the 3rd.
Hopefully the Kings can mount a comeback because both STL and CBJ won tonight.
