I saw Hate Train, and wanted to start a thread titled "Woo Woo! All Aboard the Brad Boyes Hate Train"

Wasn't sure if the mods would delete it.

We are 7th, RAG$ have a game in hand. Crap ESPN and their late standings updates.

I say a real BIG point.

You know I bet you if it was Crosby instead of JT that was getting beat up out there the refs would have been calling penalty after penalty.

Every point helps. The Devils are in trouble without Kovy. We need to beat the Rangers when we play them, that's going to be the biggest game in the rivalry in a long time.

Washington is streaking, Winnipeg is in trouble. Big night when you look at everything. 2 points would have made things so much easier on us, but that's not this team's style. I'm already imagining a repeat of 2007, with the shootout against the Devils to make the playoffs or not.

giving the extra points to a SE division team really doesn't mean much, because it's becoming obvious that only one team from that division will make the playoffs, and that's probably going to be Washington.

New Jersey losing, Winnipeg losing both good for us

I love that we fought back in this game. This is the type of game we lose last year. On Saturday my changes to the lineup would be Lee in for Marty. And put Carkner back in for Martinek.
You wanna pull Martinek for Carkner after the game he had? And leave Streit in? Hamonic?

This team has made its fanbase nuts.

Cappy must have a man crush on Boyes. Absolutely refuses to bench him. Despite making turning the puck over on every shift, leaves him on the first line (poor JT). And then, has him in the shoot out! What has he done to deserve that? KO, Bailey...Grabner even. Boyes?!

Anyway, extremely content with the point, thought it would be a shutout most of the game.

Used ESPN Standings to update. They were lets say slow on the updates. My fault.

So close to 2 points but even closer to no points. I'll take it.

In defense of Boyes on the shootout, in his career he is 45% and he scored last time. Personally I would have put in Bailey instead of Tavares

Actually, Philly won tonight, so surprisingly, they're only 2 points out of 8th. It felt like 2 days ago, I was wondering if they going to be sellers at the deadline. But they and Washington are surging right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't philly only have one game in hand? I'm ecstatic that we're in 7th, but at the same time it's frustrating that almost all the teams have a game or two in hand.

JT getting his stick chopped in half going for that rebound late in the third was ridiculous...I can see not calling tickey-tack nonsense at that pointing the game but taking away a scoring chance that blatantly has to be called...

You are correct, I was looking at nhl.com site which has updated their point(35) but not games.

As for other teams having more games, while I would prefer having 1 extra game myself, hopefully on the bright side they tire out while our guys get more rest. For the next 3 weeks our schedule is

Sat-Tues-Thur(with one game on Friday at the end of that which would be our only back to back in that time)

And once again it looks like I was wrong. 37 Points in 37 games for Philly. We play them Tuesday and now that they have motivation that will be a tough game(we also play them the second last game of the season)
